  • Hey i was wondering if the password.lst fails does it have the ability to brute force??? Thanks in advance.

  • @AnimeLuver4778

I may not have much experience about stuff like this, but I think there's a way to create a root password which is something that is explained in the ebook.

  • USE JACK THE RIPPER JUMBO 5

IT WILL LOAD THE HASH CORRECTLY

thumbs this up for everyone to see

  • It denies my root password.

Which password do i have to use to get acces??

  • ive tried all my pass but none of them work or is it same passwords for ever1?

    Reply Fast asspossible!

  • but whats the root password ? is it my login pass? or what?

  • I get the the last step every time. I type in ./run/john sha1.txt and get "No such files or directory". I am not dumb with computers, I know what I am doing so it's not a stupid mistake that I am making. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Is this for an account on the same computer? or on same network?

  • @99hds it works on an account in the same network, you just have to be remotely logged in and you have to know the ip

  • banana motherfucker

  • when i try to get the hash i says my GUID and then denied... any help would be appreciated

    thx.

  • i did it by doing everything you said and it says no password hashes loaded

  • I have followed all of the steps up to where JTR loads the sha1.txt file. When I attempt to run the './run/john sha1.txt' command I get the error 'No password hashes loaded'.

If anybody has any idea on how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • please email me how to get the hash i type in exactly what you say and got the first code but now when i type in exactly what you do the second time and it says "cat: /var/db/shadow/hash/MYFIRSTENCRYPTEDCODE: No such file or directory

  • mine just say (eDSRecordNotFound) HELP!

  • It screwed up my password on a test run, if this happens to you just use passwd

  • When i try and get the hash, it says permision denied??

  • Hi does all of this work in Mac OS X Lion?

  • @MaZaHaKa009 Nope, but this guide sure does:

    hackmac.org/hacks/crack-lion-password-hashes/

  • @hackmacorg what about the ebook?

  • When I type in the command it gives me

    -dscl_cmd- DS Error: -14136 (eDSRecordNotFound)

If you could help that would be awesome.

  • @Giantwasps Same problem as this guy. I'm using 10.6.7. Help us please.

  • i forgot my master password , how to recover it ?

  • every time i do "./run/john sha1.txt" i get "-bash: ./run/john: No such file or directory". Please help.

  • how do you gain root access?

  • say i couldn't remember my mac computers password , to find out what it is would i use this process on the same computer that i needed to find the password for?

  • Is there any other way to run the mac in single user mode other than opening the mac and changing the RAM? It is not my mac and my father took away my root access and I do not want to do anything to it in case I break it because I don't have the money to pay for a new one.

  • @Barn3yB1tch You DO NOT have to open up your Mac and do anything with the RAM to access Singe-User Mode unless somebody has set a firmware password on the computer. Just hold down the Command (or Apple Key) and the "S" key while the screen is still gray, before the Apple logo appears.

  • @hackmacorg He did set up a firmware password

  • after i do the .run/john and all that it says no such file or directory!! plz help!! thx

  • does this apply to hacking one over wireless on the same home network?

  • @deadhorse555 Yes, but you still need root access. Before entering the commands, you'll have to enter:

ssh root@LOCALIP, and then the root password, replacing the "LOCALIP" with the local IP address of the target computer on the network. Then, enter the rest of the commands normally.

  • @hackmacorg i did get the root access but don't know where to put the password

should i put it before " ssh root@LOCALIP" or after? i would be grateful if u could type it out and i just fill in the blanks as it keeps telling me connection refused

  • @deadhorse555 You need to enable SSH first. Log into the target computer physically using your root account, open up System Preferences, then go into the Sharing preference pane, and enable "Remote Login"

Then, enter the "ssh root@LOCALIP" command, and it will prompt you for the password.

  • @hackmacorg i got the same problem @oIKaRiSMa has too Help please?! thanks

  • @cravesloot27 Make sure you're logged into the root account! If you don't have root access, use Single-User Mode.

  • @gavinc01 did u cd into the john folder

  • i got cat: /var/db/shadow/hash/4424B736-1D09-4F2F-BEA7-C58A972DCB20: Permission denied

    plz help?

  • when i get all done, it says "Loaded 1 password hash (Lotus5 [Lotus v5 Proprietary])"

is that norm? cos it has been on for 4 days now.....just running and trying random passwords please help

  • It keeps saying permission denied? Help

  • @Mw2Gameplay192 Are you logged in as root?

  • @hackmacorg I try login root and it asks for my password but it doesnt work...I know it doesnt show up and stuff but it says login incorrect...So I try login with my shortname and it works but not with root...Help haha

  • @Mw2Gameplay192 The root account doesn't come pre-enabled, you have to enable it first. Check this out to enable it: support.apple.c om/kb/HT1528 (remove the space between .c and om)

  • can you do a video on: "How to Crack a password-protected RAR file"?

  • Will it work if the password is not a common word... i.e. random set of numbers and letters or something?

  • @xpress212 it mixes words from a list i think (i think it mixes them, but not thinking about the list, i checked the list out.). so yes i think it will work.

  • I got it to work until cat /var/db command but when i finish the command it says "cat: /var/db/shadow/hash/EBEF68A6-EEF4-496D-9BF3-2AE7F99D4A35: No such file or directory" More help plz!
