did you ever go back and finish the secod part of the quest? where you are attacked by the Ulimate level Hildebears? I was never able to save the scientist guy. i always get killed, and he dies. they say that you get a MAG part as a reward if you do the 2nd part.

I didn't find a single mech gun throughout the whole game, or if I did, it would get picked up by someone else. So I'm like "Screw it..."
