As hard as game companies try with strategy games, it doesn't matter. In strategy games THERE IS NO STRATEGY OR TACTICS. All people ever do is throw like 50 tanks at you and destroy their opponent who was sadly a bit slower in trying to do the same thing.I haven't played with 1 NOT ONE person online at any RTS game that didn't do this. Maybe the matchmaking system in Halo Wars could change that by having games that are "infantry only" or "aircraft only" to make people think of something else.

They will balance the PoR rush on 1v1 on small maps. Most other rushes can be countered and brought into the long game, but you have to earn the long game, its not tech up to grizz/hawk/odst then fight.

Halo wars, when I did play it, yes almost every game had a rush. The rushes are easy to stop but it gets annoying, if you know anything about the game you know that you make counter units for the rushing units, then the rusher makes those counters, then you make those counters... It gets old, no experimentation unless you want to lose. Understand?

There is strategy, you have to choose what you build, and when. If you spam say, vultures or something, those can easily be taken out by any covenant leaders, or macblasted by unsc leaders. Also since this game has a population limit, you have a limit to how much you can build, which means being overwhelmed is entirely your fault for not building anti-stuff. o.o I understand what you're saying tho a bunch of rts it justbuild n build

Scarabs are killed by concentrated fire.

The Cobras should have won, maybe you commanded them crappily? also if you lock them down they should have taken out the grizzlies. Also if you send 6 HAWKS im POSITIVE they would be able to destroy those grizlies. because it's rock paper scissors.

infantry beats aircraft, aircraft beats vehicles, vehicles beats infantry.

there are a lot of exceptions to that whole rock paper scissors crap - wolverines beat air, hunters cant do crap against air but dominate vehicles, flame thrower units can't do crap against air - hawks will probably beat non odst fully upgraded marines unless your very good at commanding the rocket second attack...., oh and the heros are technically infantry (flame turrets dominate them) and they are all total exceptions, oh and vampires are great against air and mediocre against everything else
