Jadi Trijatha bukan adik Rahwana tetapi keponakan Rahwana.

    Jay Shree Rama!!!

  • ชอบมากครับ

ramayana is important for South east asia.

it make culture dance and performances.

  • Indonasia was ruled by Sri Vijaya empire for nearly 700 years. Many other countries like Thailand were ruled by hindu rulers. We should be proud of this and bring the people together

  • Very well said yadav1857 but, How can one bring together were him self divided

  • they were hindu rulers but not indian. indians never conquered any parts of the indonesian islands, even the cholas never established themselves firmly in any parts of sumatera.

  • @yadav1857 Shri Vijaya did not rule Indonesia, it was an indegenous kingdom of Indonesia which was Buddhist by religion, not Hindu.

  • Indonesia's Indian influence. I lived there for 2 years.

  • and only in central java.

  • originaly its from hinduism, comes in many different versions. The bottom line of the story are thesame as the others. this one is javanese version ( indonesia ). as everyone know Indonesia has quiet few of cultures and religions even some of them still believes in old traditions as a religon. beautiful ain't it.

  • this is wonderful. thank you for uploading

    peace

  • its indonesian(javanese)folk story ramayana not indian, am i right?

  • ia asal dr india dan dibawa ka tanah nusantara

  • Muy buena interpretacion, el ambiente elegido es pefecto.

Me encantan los gestos para denotar su caracter real o divino de los personajes.

  • beauty...thats wat it is....KEAYUAN..KEANGGUNAN...stupid freaks like non asian people wouldnt understand the art and story behind them lovely hands gestures...

  • lol at golfcart, how did sita become sHiNta??? how come hanumans/anoman plants doesnt get stained from the grass when he kneels down? i always get stains from grass on my clothes if i sit on the grass

  • its in javanese, did you think its in indian thats why u think the names distorted?

  • duh i know its javanese but it is derived from india so how did the name change, mostly names stay the same in stories/religions. like the difference between hanuman and anoman is not big but shinta from sita is a big difference from the original

  • borednow,

    Consider these:

'Jesus', pronounced (jee-zuss), this form is the Latin of original Hebrew (pron. Isa). 'Confucius' when it shld b K'ung Fu tzu.

Kolkata/Calcutta, Mecca/Makkah, Cairo/Kahirah, Morocco/Maghribi, Kozhikode/Calicut (Hindi or Anglicised speakers may hv difficulty pronouncg the Malayalee)... ad infinitum

Different languages transliterate names in variant forms. Ramayana isn't even performed this way in India - this is uniquely Jav.

  • interesting ... and nice examples too

  • borednow,

...to jus focus on religion/stories: Jehovah when it should be Yahweh, Eve when it should be Havah/Hawa. Joseph when it should be Yousef, and many many more. So the religious names are derived from Hebrew but we dun even pronounce it in that language anymore. Indeed noone thinks of Christianity as 'Jewish', just as Javanese, Khmers, Thai, Chinese (they hv a version too) don't think of Ramayana derivatives as 'Indian' but as a pan-Asian cultural legacy

  • Dear borednow,

I am an Indian myself and I know Ramayana quite well.Even in India there are many versions of Ramayana in many Indian languages which are slightly different from one another.

Goswami Tulasidas says in his ramayan " Hari anant hari katha ananta". This means that there are infinite versions of Ramayana as the Lord(Hari/Ram) is infinite.

  • We should respect all beliefs and traditions and celebrate the diversity in Hinduism. All the Ramayana versions are HOLY!

    btw...thanks for the upload

  • thanks for apload... ilove it...

  • where is the story taking place. if it is indonesia it suppose to.

  • Here I shall join in the argument . . .culture can be a cute thing .. .I mean look how cute Lord Hanuman is, in Indian, Javanese, and Thai cultures! He's my fav Hindu God!!

  • no it isn't. your statement is purely subjective.

  • and the problem is?

  • Why are you a total prick? You're making yourself look like an ass. If a person can understand culture then it CAN be beautiful, beauty itself is in the eye of the beholder and I'll have to say this is beautiful. The hand gestures also tell a wonderful story. If you can't appreciate this art form then DON'T comment. Jerk.

  • Well, beauty and cute are two different things. Maybe I'm coming off as an ass.

  • would help if i knew what they were saying lol so what did i just watch lol

  • lol i just seen a golf cart

  • wow interesting...this resembles the indian ramayana sort of...

  • DUH it is the same story

  • Ini bahasa jawa ke?

  • woooooooooooooow, nice.. especially the golf cart.

  • OMG,..I've been trying to find this video for my anthropology class. This one definitely would help me explain bout Indonesian Culture. I do really want to study my own culture...thanks!

  • haha! We're currently studying this Ramayana thing! well.. I think its very cute..haha..

  • cute? I think your very ignorant. culture isn't cute, it should be taken very seriously. idiot.

  • youre a real nice guy aren't you, you always have such nice things to say to people

  • well you know if you do have an appreciation to culture, you wouldnt find it "cute". pleeeease.

  • culture is also the mixture of cultures. evrything comes from somewhere else.

  • okay... what you have just said to me doesn't even make sense because it does not pertain to our argument. we were just debating whether culture should be considered cute and you suddenly tell me something I already know and is completely irrelevant to what we were just talking about. I already know that culture is a mixture of different cultures. please stick to the topic.

  • Nice dance, and music as well...
