As I had this case before the judge I can tell everybody that it's the same as putting your feet on the chair. The police that busted me said 'tramsurfing' was a particular part of the law but they just use that for everything which is out of the ordinary. You get a fine of 28 euros. I was tramsurfing almost daily on the way for groceries. You got to keep your passion alive when it's available. Rules are to be broken if you don't hurt anybody...

some weeks ago I was in Oslo, and some of the trams there are "surfable"!! so, inspired by this video, I intended to try it. the "bumper" is bigger than those in Amsterdam, so you can actually sit on it, holding your arm up and grab the wiper, so that you don't fall off. I did, it was fun as lots of people saw me, and it was quite a kick!
