Oriental brothers music is nice to listen to i was born in ebute metta in Lagos where threre is no much cultural difference, i like this music so much.
I was in Ochancha, Onitsha in 1975 at the age of 10 with my uncle selling this record of Oriental Brothers in hie record store, though a Yoruba boy from Osun State. So much like it. Codewit you remind me of the time.Thnks a million!
Great Song!! I'm a Brooklyn born African / American...From the Great and Powerful Igbo ancestry..This Song reminds me of my late Dad..He was very proud of his People, his Tribe, his Language, his Culture And Tradition..When he brought us home for 2 years to learn his culture, We Listened to this Timeless tune all day.. Pop had this song and others play in his car all day.
That powerful culture and Tradition i have vowed to keep and pass it on to my daughter.
men, u are the bomb!!! thanks soo much for uploadin this song. it reminds me way far back while i was teenager in Anambra state, i have a friend who always play this song, i fell inluv with this since then and i have looking for it. thanks
"Nwanne awu enyi",the title, means your relation is not your friend. The music track starts with "Ihe ane zhi-e-zhi wu nwanne, anegi e-zhi enyi e-zhi" This means that it is only your relations who are explained to you as to how you relate to each other (by elders) and not your friends ,because you are naturally expected to know whom your friends are.
Please visit your u-tube account to see other explanatons.
Good music but I have a problem with the dance interpretation. i found it too modern and almost vulgar. They could have done a more traditional and decent theme.
i have to disagree this is the closest to traditional it could get, i understand if you were talking about some of the other oriental videos that were posted (for example, Anam Ele Chi) was veryyy vulgar and nothing close to traditional, in this video i think they did very well with the egwu-ukwu.
hi dear, I absolutely agree with you. I dont even recall watching this movie. I suspect that I wrote this for another song and maybe that one finished and it skipped to this. This is actually the best of all the songs both in rythmn and dance interpretation. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
I remember those days wey go dey travel from lag to east. we dey blast these songs all the way anticipating great fun for village. GOOD TIMES! can't wait to be in nigeria.... unu jisie ike!!

I remember back in Ajegunle...I had this friend that lived at Boundary and we were like teenagers back then ...Kill some Guiness and listen to Oriental Brothers all weekend..Awesome memories ..those were the days !!! hmmmm hmmmm hmmm "LIFE IS GOOD "
I love this, makes me nostalgic!!! Oriental brothers, lmao, remember all d days in the car going back hme (east) from lag!!! lmao..... this is the way forward!!!!
there is no doubt this is probabaly the best of oriental brothers, it has attracted so many comments here, i'm glad the best of the bests is my favourite.. thanks for sharing
introduce your brothers to all,but friends need not be introduced to all, because friends come and go,but blood brothers remain stead-fast,this the message,we love the legeng and icon, may soul lives on you always be remember,Sir Warrior1Phd in musicology.
Each time i listen to this song, i feel like crying;i remenber how Sir War performed on stage and his talents. Dr Warrior was a born high-life musician; not a praise singer.I'm proud of him and hope that his children will continue where he stoped. May his soul rest in the bosom of the lord!
My broda, that would be awesome ...I tell you .but dem don old small..so the energy fit no dey like you go want am..But definitely if you can get them .Let us know so we go come chop rice and Isi ewu...Nice one ..God Bless
This is the best Igbo highlife. Sold more than any Igbo highlife. Finest guitar play. Dr Sir Warrior was a music legend. A very happy spirit. May his soul rest according to God's goodness.

Can we stop using our women in these rubbish dance videos? Nigerians (in Nigeria) of late have been watching a lot of trash from Zairean and Congolese musicians where men bleach their faces and have also copied this irritating shaking of buttocks and gyrating asses like whores. It is a shame we have lowered ourselves to this level of moral depravity. REPULSIVE DANCING SIMILAR TO THE INTERUPTIVE MUSIC YOU HEAR WHEN WATCHING NOLLYWOOD MOVIES. Have we lost the plot as a nation of copycats?

pls can someone tell me if these videos were made before or after the death of sir worrior... i know he was the main vocalist to all these albums but never seen these video until his death...sorry for my foolish question..lol
They were made after his death. Dansach mentioned that during the interview at the end of the DVD. I believe they made this album (without sir warrior) during the time the band seperated.
