@CSE123100 I think she meant that men who struggle with addictions have different needs from their wives than those husbands that don't struggle with that particular thing. Just as she pointed out that some husbands are gone for their job a lot and others aren't.

And for example, if one husband is a Bible class teacher, say, and more hands on with the children, he can be trusted to more and different tasks. But to the other side, the wife of the drunk, well, he won't be able to be trusted with many things, and additionally, she will have to make time to get him back and forth to court, and maybe a job—right?
And maybe, no one "deserves" anything or anyone, but as His mercy is over all His

And, than simply in some kind of illness, don't you kind of think that, addicts are rather selfish and making selfish choices? And for example, when crimes of drunk-driving began to be seriously punished, ppl quit using Flip Wilson's: "Da debil made me do it." as an excuse. And, than the cigarettes, if you desire something more, that's where you'll use the $5?
