Call me a Vortex fanboy if you want, cuz I'd rather his voice in this band, but in Vintersorg's defence I remember you that forgetting lyrics is something that can be seen on Vortex's side as well, for those who like Arcturus and have ever watched 2005 Metalmania, in "Painting My Horror" song for example.

Well, IDK what metalheads you hang around, but the ones I know really couldn't give less of a shit about appearence (hair, etc)... Well honestly, metal is extremely trendy. Modern metal just has all these stupid little subgenres, sub-subgenres and fusion genres of existing sub-genres, and everything has to fit into one of these little itty bitty molds, and that's why there is no innovation. Metal got from where it did now because people took the metal formula and did new things with it. That's how we got from Sabbath to Slayer, and Slayer to Burzum, and so forth.

What metal bands these days don't realize, is that adding one or two symphonic elements to your band, or a flute, or random acoustic interludes with synths, or worshiping some existing metal band (and generally failing to match even the slightest bit of talent the worshipees had) is NOT innovation. It is GIMMICKY. Metal has stagnated because of all these idiotic metal bands popping up all with NO sense of direction.

The first half is good, but they certainly screwed up the second half.  What do you expect though for a band that hardly ever plays live? At least the sound quality is good. The other video of them playing Colossus on here is way better, when Vintersorg still has long hair and actually seems into the music.
