1. Since 1980 Hawaii only releases the so called 'short form' certification of live birth.
2. Hawaii considers this THE birth certificate. PERIOD.
3. IF someone was born elsewhere this certificate would HAVE that information.
4. Announcements of births in the newspaper come ONLY from the state department of health...you cannot place one yourself.

The INS website has the rules for citizenship(natural-born/native-born) under INA:ACT 301 (h) !!! But yet if you still want to doubt then simply find out when his father entered Hawaii !!
