The solution to this dispute is the 1982 UN Convention on Law of the Sea: coastal rights = 12 miles from coast, Economic Zone rights = 200 miles from coast. Anything else is international waters. That means China won't get shit from South China Sea. Bullying is Chinese dogs' way of surviving. I wish the US had crushed China's military capabilities when they were still in infancy, so they would not be so arrogant now. I wish the Japanese soldiers had turned all Chinese kids into Japanese.

China “opposes the internationalization of the issue” because the Chinese government knows that its basis for its claim has no legal standing in front of International Court compared to that of Vietnam. Therefore, they want to deal bilaterally with each claimant country because it’s easy to bully these small countries one-on-one. China would threaten these small countries with trade benefits, aids and even force. Superpower China is the worse donor for international disaster aids.

How can "internationalization of this issue" not work? Maybe it does not work in China's favor. International Court will look at facts and historical evidence, and base its decision on UNCLOS that China singed.
