Metalheads stole moshing from punks, hardcore punk was the first type of music to have people slam their bodies into each other, it was also the originator of old school slam dancing (which btw people did to old school slam death metal bands).

@Zombie1990 I also agree that the new form of slam dancing is gay, but if you look at the old-school videos of slam death bands or old hardcore punk videos slam dancing was a completely different dance.
