Can I take an old PC (Windows XP) internal hard-drive and make an external drive and put the files on a Mac? The Mac is about 4 years old, so not sure which OS it is.

@Madsoftair well first look on your HD for either the phrase "SATA" "IDA" or "ATA" (to identify the connector type) then measure about how wide the connectors are (it'll either be 2.5" or 3.5") next use that info to search Amazon for it. If all else fails I know for a fact they have connectors for it that will do the trick regardless of size/type for only about $7 but there's no case/enclosure

@SalvadorZXA dood, you just want an enclosure, search it up on newegg (DOT) com, you should be able to find some. you don't even need that, you could just use an IDE or SATA to USB converter. I just ordered one from newegg for $10
