Hi Dave, glad to see someone made a video on the GeoXT. I think the "Base" File Type option you mentioned is used if you wanted to use your Geo XT as a base station for other GPS devices. I am not sure on this, but I spent a lot of time playing around with TerraSync, and I thought I may be of some help.
@porkchop659 I have a GEOXT 2005, it was a gift from a friend, but i dont know how to collect points on it, it gives the cordinates where i am and everything but i dont know how to use for example on boundary surveys and such. Maybe you can help me on this. thanks.

did you get a cradle and cables with the unit? What software is loaded on it? ArcPad? Terrasync?

Cool, I use a 2005 GeoXH and we also have a older GEOXT.
