  • Well... I thought i can see the Act Four ! , i wonder would it be? Anybodies guess? ...(very nice equipment though & well presented)

  • i think at a real wedding there wouldnt b enough time to set up all that lighting... nice lenses though

  • boring...

  • But the original audio?? i don't see mic on eos d5 is a problem, big problem!!

  • nice video

  • to much equipement for a poor talent !

  • wow... half a million worth of photo equipments,,

  • over $30K worth of equipment and this is all he can pull off? this sucks

  • Bruce has a lot of freaking money

  • what is the second song?! i'm most certain it's by michael buble but i can't find it!

  • @jockstrappers It’s not Buble, it’s Jonny Blu, song title: In Just That Kind of a Mood

  • @AtaAtanasia The Album is In Just That Kind of a Mood, but the title is Ooh-Wee!!

  • Nice video & thanks for sharing video

  • примерил кучу объективов....

я бы с китовым тоже самое снял, накуя столько понтов?????

  • The art of the photographer is EXPANDING over the years thanks to the availability of better technology that is within reach of potential storytellers.

There is always an elitist aesthetic when it comes to cinematography ,or even dance...pretty much anything, a photograph is only as good as the amount of attention it receives, same go's for film, same go's for dance etc. The art isnt lost ,its growing! about godam time

  • This is pretty unimpressive considering the line of lenses that were used, I could shoot better with natural light and my kit lens

  • @Cloujus

    Show us the results then!

    All wind and no sails???

No matter WHAT lenses used, there were a few shots here that caught the momemnt, which is in my opinion what it is all about. If I had taken this I would have been very pleased - I am sure the subjects were even more pleased.

Constructive crit is welcomed by anyone, but what you say isnt constructive at all, its just a "ego" burst.. show us something you can do so I can leave a comment to your "work of art" with the kit lens!

  • upload in hd please

  • With the $20k worth of gear he had, I expected a lot more.

  • Now i know why Bruce Dorn enjoys filming Weddings LOL

  • beautiful

  • i love her boobs ;)

  • Nice lighting work.

  • anyway, i think its a fake wedding!

  • @Jiucieu kind of agree here.. at least in some countries of europe that I know, its very dificult to have that much time to make this, I mean, the photographer only have 1 hour! to make the shots after the ceremony and before the party. And taking the fact that the groom are not allowed to see the bride wearing her dress before the ceremony, and almost not a single one, would wear it the next day, or at a later day, cause they dont want to fake their day.

  • Yup we want to see quality in your work, not your snob show off :D

  • The art of photography has not been lost, technology has given artists/photographers new tools to expand their ability to capture and edit their pictures. CS5 is nuts!

What you really need is good lighting and good post production skills. New photographers are learning a lot faster thanks to instant feedback digital. I've paid my dues on film cameras, and still use all the fundamentals I learned. Every new generation of DSLRs gets me closer to capturing exactly what I see.

  • Good Work!

  • Why women are always more happy at their marriage than men?

  • As a professional photographer, I would say this was well taken. All the shots have been prop accordingly which is ok but expected. I guess Asian and Western wedding have different feel to it.

I guess prefer to see something more spontaneous without any props or studio lights.

  • Very serios equipment! Perfect results! Congrats!

  • I like the imagery of this video. It showcases expertise on both videography and photography. Kudos to those who have the eye for both and with today's blended technology, capturing both still and motion pictures is truly the way to go for ease of workflow. No more hunting for lost video clips or pictures. Well done. Good choice of music as well.

  • good jod

  • well i really liked it..... there is a lot of people judging and with no work of their own to back it up, i think their jealous

  • lol wanna know what comes to mind when i see iDC photography I don't care photography.

  • Great work !

  • dull...

  • What happened to act IV The Bedroom???

  • @jbravo70 lawl

  • @jbravo70 he was only allowed to test lenses...

  • I think that it is beautiful; really well done

  • the perspective of video is very still photography like...cues to the rule of thirds and the headroom of certain shots...my guess is he doesnt spend much time with video till 5dmk2 comes by

  • actors

  • Everyone should stop hating and take a chill pill. He is simply testing the camera and has done so very well. The fact that he has used actors and staged the events merely indicate he wanted to achieve a specific feel and look to the video which may have not been possible in a real life wedding due to time constraints. Not once has he mentioned or advertised in his video his photographic wedding services but instead has shown what the different lenses can do when combined with HD video.

  • wonderfull

  • the name of the song please?

  • one can have the same results with 500d too. For a photographer, the most important are the lenses not to mentioned an average camera too.

  • I think people need to stop being so critical about this guy's work, and appreciate the hard work he put into making this video. So what if he used actors. Big deal guys, get over it u haters

  • Haha, oh my god I'm in this video.

  • It's a remarkable camera, but not a remarkable video.

  • Some nice images here. When an artist has the time and the cooperation of the bride and groom, some great images can be had. One element that's missing here is the zoom, which can't be done well with an SLR. There is a bit of blowout in the highlights which indicates a cheap imaging device.

Why do we have to be blasted with the name of Bruce Dorn so many times? It reminds me of Sergio Valente pasted on the asses of so many jeans.

  • anyone know the name of the song?

  • Video looking very unreal, fake wedings, fake emoutions, it is all one big fake. hours of calibrating lights, and our equpment for one shot. I prefer real moments and true emoutions.

  • There is nothing impressive about this. It is boring and the lighting needs to be toned done a little, aside from the fake ceremony. I don't like this at all.

  • wow you did an excellent job..5 STARS

  • No Offence but... youre videography/cinematography isn't really impressive for a professional photographer. A student of the age of 17 could even do better than what is produced.

But any how, this is still a nice video. :)

  • all you really need is a good eye and to know how to operate a dslr. people see great quality of a dslr and are like "OMG A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER!!!" ... the art of photography has been lost over the years, and it's really frustrating to those of us who would like to make a living. and no, this isn't a personal attack at THIS specific video; I really like the way this was shot. I'm just venting.

  • Well, I surely don't go "OMG A PRO PHOTOG with COOL Camera"...lol, I have no doubt that he's a pro photog, else he can't do this for a living. but what i'm trying to say is, i'm just surprised for a person like him, he dont apply the simple basis of compositing a scene. All you need is a good imagination and creativity... that's what I feel.. :)

  • @WintersAzure Why are you frustrated? If you truly are a professional, people will still be able to identify your work as such. It seems to me that complaining that the field has gotten too accessible exposes insecurities to do with your lack of distinguishing skills or visual acuity over the average schmoe with a DSLR.

The art of photography is not lost - If anything it takes a really true artist to stand out today, as opposed to 50 years ago

  • @WintersAzure i honestly couldnt agree with you any more. that is why i've really been sad about how people think they are good at photography simply cos of a good camera.

  • @WintersAzure Agreed, its becoming more technical and scientific now. That's really sad.

  • @WintersAzure

This truly is a lame statement. Advances in technology have allowed people to create the best photos ever made, get with the times.

You can still make a living, just improve!

  • @WintersAzure There is no "the art of photography". It is an accumulation over the years from try and error. Think about the very first person who holds onto a old style black and white film camera. Where can he learn "the art of photography". "The art" is only art when the majority people of the era accepts it as the major art of the century. What we think is good art now or good music now may be shit back in the days let say 100 years ago.

  • @WintersAzure I was a pro gardener for 40 years and am doing photography as a hobby...Nothing stays the same in life and what was hard to achieve yesterday seems easy today. You MUST try and reinvent YOURSELF...find something in your field that sets you apart from the rest..some times it is a small aspect of a rather insignificant part of what you are doing...we all have to do it....btw Einstein described insanity as doing the same mistake over and over again and accept a different outcome

  • I disagree, but try putting this guy in a setting where photojournalism is needed to capture moments as they happen rather than pay actors to do it on call and you got yourself a video that could be done by a 17 year old.

So actually, I agree. There is nothing special about this guy other than he can put together a fake wedding and capture it on video with a great camera and great lenses.

  • @VinceCheong no offence... you're ignorant as fuck. for a professional critic.

  • @tragictheory And I presume you should know better as a Cinematographer/DoP?

    You amuse me :)

  • Very Nice...well done... You can take the video and able to clip out and make it into a photography print? or just screen shot?

  • remarkable!!!
