  • By 1943 standard in today’s dollars a PFC’s pay, foreign duty and combat bonus amounted to 2,943 dollars per month. Sergeant with sufficient time-in-service and assuming sharpshooter, amounted to 4,185 dollars per month.

Hazardous Duty Incentive Pay for a paratrooper was 1,887 per month in today’s dollars. A PFC’s aircrew Incentive Pay was 940 dollars a month, and that was 1,320 dollars per month for a Sergeant.

  • @MrOhiostateboy I know I just feel it applies to all American and allied forces around the world

  • @MrDaKurllz agreed

  • @MrOhiostateboy Thing is that if you think about it this song really goes with more of a homecoming not training

  • @MrDaKurllz Yeah i guess but its still a good song

  • @MrOhiostateboy hey i just found out something.

  • @MrOhiostateboy My uncle says he might have been on this jump

  • quick quiz....the L on the platform is for left door ,WHY ARE THEY JUMPING TO THE RIGHT....IF YOU FLUNK...YOU NO JUMP BEFORE...THATS ME LOOKING OUT THE DOOR...."I AINT GOING OUT THERE"

  • @angrobp the jump doors are designated in relation to direction of flight; that is the left jump door that they are jumping-when they jump, they are facing towards the rear of the aircraft, so the left jump door is on the jumper's right-Hooah-I was an instructor at Airborne School 1977-1980-

  • when did they put platforms going out the door?

  • @angrobp jump platforms are on the C-130 on-

  • 82nd Airborne, the most physically fit group of alcoholics in the world. At least it was when I was there
