actually nanobots are just artificial organisms, they're just like any bacteria or viruses. The only difference now is that we have control over their functions, instead of just searching the earth for one sthat fit our needs we can just produce them.

The military has already developed some of this technology, but not for beneficial purposes - it is to enable remote-controlled torture, illusory sensations, and surveillance. It's America!

glad someone beat me to it, as exciting as nanotechnology is, it scares the shit out of me. automated nano technology is even scarier, just realise the level of control over the people that this technology provides

Hey - that's great someone else recognizes the danger. It is being developed in secret, and tested non-consensually on unwitting subjects. Since it is not visible to the naked eye, it is easy to claim the targets are just mental cases.

yes, this is why i am now endeavoring down the path of getting an education in automated nanotechnology, while there are so many aspects to nanotech i cannot cover them all, and automated is what interests me most. i feel if i can get on the inside developing it atleast i can see what it is being used for and hopefully have some input in keeping people aware of its uses. but first i need to get the job lol, easier said than done with so many geniuses to compete with.
