'Moon Revenge' is in the subbed, the dubbed version had 'The Power of Love'...and I didn't think that Darien's statement was ill-timed, considering Princess Serenity IS Darien's love (since he IS her Prince after all) And technically it shouldn't really matter if the subbed or dubbed gave you different feelings. :)

I LOVE sailor moon! It was my first anime..... and I just now noticed.... and wondered if anyone else did too...doesn't Fijore (sp?) sort of look like Allan (in the english version) from the Doom Tree episodes? I just thought it was a neat coincidence ;-)

@tinkerbell52589 you're right... and in fact, in the original Japanese version, Fiore and the Kisenian flower had the same voice actors as Alan and Ann. they definitely took the character design straight from the Doom Tree arc.

and maybe it's even implying that Fiore was one of the lost children of the Doom Tree... he's an alien, looks the same, and has a strong interest in plant life...

I have a handful of favorite episodes, but this really is a show that's meant to be seen in order. The "oh WOW that was awesome" and "yes, that guy finally got what he deserves!" moments are nearly meaningless if you don't know the backstory. Otherwise you just see Sailor Moon taking on some villain you barely know or care about, it has no impact to it.

it's just so beautifully done, and I love so much how the final scene mirrors a scene from the opening credits... something the viewer has been seeing for weeks without realizing just what it means.

it emphasizes the scale of Chibiusa's adventure, makes her seem truly likeable, and makes me so happy for her success.

but like I said, it carries so much less meaning if you didn't see all she had to go through to get there.

I think the kids in Japan handled it just fine.

I kinda fall into the "maybe not" category. The dub just removed and rewrote sooo much. I would be different if it had -only- softened some of the death and violence.

I've heard Terri Hawkes (Sailor Moon's Voice) do a WAAYY better perfomance in the series than in this movie. There are also some parts in the movie where I wonder "Okay, what! Who the hell wrote this dialogue"

The main problem with USA/Canada dub is not the voices, is the replacing of beautiful music with generic bullshit songs, the dumbing down of themes like love, sexuality and death and the cutting of scenes. Since not that much happened in this movie then it's safe to say it's ok.
