I remember this footage being released ages ago and the actor Roger Moore (aka 007) put his name and narrated a whole documentary about it. It would certainly seem a very silly move for such a famous reputable English actor who has been been knighted to a 'SIR' to put his name to something fake, so therefore it's not necessarily fake, however it doesn't make it extraterrestrial either and could be simply a man-made experiment gone wrong.......who knows?

@trancehi I think it is real, just not extraterrestrial. It could have been a detail collecting debris of the first N1 launch. That would explain the security. I believe that the first N1 launch actually traveled the furtherest before breakup. That would have put debris all over that part of the country. This is just one possible explanation.

Ok, here is what is going on in this video. Yes, there is a crashed craft. However, it is not a UFO because they know exactly where it came from. That is a German engineered craft. It uses 12 jet engines.

However, there's no footage available of what was actually seen behind or inside the shell. Why?

This is ridiculous. First of all, the circumference around the crash site is still intact with trees. The angle at which the "object" is stuck in the great suggests that someone planted it because it cannot have ended up at that angle with the trees behind it. Thirdly, they might consider using a camera from the date of the supposed crash. This video is clearly a fake and i happen to believe in UFO's very strongly, but not to the point where i believe every single posting in regards to such

I took this from the standpoint of a military historian. The Uniforms are almost too good to be faked ( Even with the import of soviet surplus uniforms) The buttons on the enlisted overcoats were always added by the soldiers. These almost never come into the US on surplus coats. Also all the insignia is intact. This indicates that the Unit was in Garrison mode . The lack of tree damage could be due the possibility that the crash is in a very remote location and occured many years ago.

I've seen photos of from this film for years since the mid 80's. Would seem about right based on the style of clothing of the man in civilian clothing.

Could have been a training exercise to observe the reactions of soldiers when confronted with something otherworldly.

The staging looks authentic enough. The behavior of the soldiers and others seems natural and not acted-out. I admit the crash site itself seems a bit odd trees still standing and all, plus the angle seems a little hokey.
