Keep in mind that the unit I have is a FULL PC currently running windows XPe I may or may not keep XPe installed on it as it boots in just a few seconds flat. i just have to find a decent front end and any drivers I may need for a touch screen. Using Damn Small Linux doing multiple tasks at once this thing hums along using only 2% of the processor, so it has some guts.
im looking for something very similar to this but on linux. It needs to be an extremely fast booting (less than 15 seconds) audio/video player capable of running on a small footprint. I have a Pay by touch unit with a 667 mhz processor and 110 mb of ram with a 40 gig hard drive (will be upgrading that) and the whole unit is the size of a small paperback book.
If anyone knows of any linux distro like that let me know.
