  • Can we get a link to part two

  • Is there a part II to this yet?

  • solve your problem immediately...use EEZOX...it blows away all of these products...check out the internet for verification!!!

  • great idea. I have been a CLP user since 1984. here it's always very high humidity (95% the last week) and I have had metal get a coat of light brown rust in an hour, so a test like this is a great idea.

  • Ok, now I see how it all started. This one didn't end up in my inbox.

  • Can't wait to see the results.

  • cool... can't wait to see the results.

  • FIX the volume.

  • @dithbmine1 POST a video

  • That is a lot of LUBE.

  • Can't wait to see how it turns out.

  • A good description of Eezox can be found at Warren Custom Outdoor.

Also, Google the following: Rust Preventatives for Firearms

Click on The Gun Zone -- Corrosion Test

    Good luck.

  • Fred, if you're up for a shoot-out, compare Phase 1 trial results with Eezox and all other comers.

  • Wow i can't wait to see the results...

  • Good idea Fred, look fwd. to the results.

  • I'm excited to see part 2, I'm a new gun owner (and I joined the NRA now too) so I'm curious to see what the difference is between all these oils. I have Rem Oil and I've used Hoppes oil too. Both were roughly the same price, one is just an aerosol can.

  • Fred this is an awesome experiment! What a great idea we need more vids that cover these kind of topics! I use Break-Free CLP myself! I've always wondered about Ballistol, but have to order on line to get here as I have never seen it on the shelves any where. Looking forward to part two very much!

  • Yeah, you're gonna have to get creative with the lubrication test. But man, I am looking forward to the results. Finally put this thing to bed. Right now I got both RemOil and BreakFree. Rem's for my knives, Break's for my gun (yet to use the latter, though, have to set up something... I'm somewhat backlogged in videos I need to get out).

  • can't wait to see the results. You could also put the plate in your bathroom... pretty damp in there sometimes.

  • Brilliant! This would be a great science project for the kids!!! BTW: it is my understanding that Ballistol is hydroscopic....so is WD40. Ballistol was good in its day WWI-WWII, but I think material science has come a long way.

  • Great idea.! How will you be testing lubrication and cleaning ability?

  • I'm sticking with Hoppe's for now, but you Rock, Fred! I'm definately interested in the results.

  • I am really looking forward to seeing the results of this test. By the way, my grandfather was a WWII vet, retired mill worker, and horse shoer. He pretty much WD-40ed everything and thought the Sun would rise and set over that stuff. He even used it on his ol' Model 94 Winchester! Let me tell you, that old rifle is in pretty good shape.

  • I know everyone has a favorite, and mine is Tetra Gun Grease. It stays where you put it and last quite a long time. As always just never over oil/grease. Great video.

  • Break free will do WAY better than people think.

  • That's a cool idea. Just like something off of that show "Mythbusters"! Except I like the looks of that hot redhead better. LOL. J/K. Great idea Fred.

  • @TheFirearmsChannel It will get pretty warm out there

  • good test cant wait to see the outcome and what you come up with for a lubricity test. maybe something envolving an electric motor an amp guage, bearing rollers and weights. or matbe drag a weighted plate of steel up a steel incline with a measuring device such as a fish scale or something more sensitive. just a couple of thoughts

  • What a good idea. You can dispel any myths about these different products. How long are you going to run this test?

  • @biguy525 How ever long it takes to start rusting, I really don't have a clue :)

  • Hmm I don't think WD-40 is anything more than a water dispurser... (I know that isn't spelled right but I couldn't find it anywhere in the dictionary.) You get the idea though. I don't think it will preserve anything and I don't think it lubricates very well.

  • @mobiltec That's what I keep hearing and reading on the interweb :)

  • @fredhart Militec will do poor, I've seen other tests but this is good you're doing this test.

  • Man you always have a science project going on! Another interesting and unique vid...looking forward to the results.

  • Unique experiment as far as I know. Are you a trekie ? You maybe "boldy going where no man has gone before". Kind of a Starship Gunoil. Which oil will Klingon the metal best? I await the final out come. Live long and Prosper Fredrico! :0)

  • @Roberthurz I prefer to live outside the box :) Thank you friend!

  • very interesting vid! I like the scientific approach you are taking compared to others opinions or "feelings." Overall great vids!

  • use.. water and pipe cleaner... that will eat through metal..

  • seems like a good idea, im interested to see what happens

  • great idea, cant wait to see the results...

  • Also, that's a pretty ace setup you got there. Is that a Razer Deathadder and a G15 I see? :D

  • @onnet7 I'm going to have to do a review on my setup here :)

  • @fredhart You should do, it looks pretty nice. I take it you play a lot of games? Are you perhaps into computer hardware/ overclocking?

  • Another fantastic and informative video, once again. Looking forward to part two.

  • @onnet7 Thank you

  • Awesome idea!
