In my view, U2´s finest is Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.

Although it's really easy to create the best 100 (I've been a fan since "Boy")

But here's my top 11 (this list varies according to season), but essentially:

1. Ultraviolet (Light My Way) 2. Unforgettable Fire 3. Where The Streets Have No Name 4. Lemon 5. New Year's Day 6. Zooropa 7. Electric Co. 8. Stay (Faraway, So Close!) 9. Pride (In The Name Of Love) 10. With Or Without You

Nice try!! How cool is it to have such a great band with so much great work that fans to argue over a top 30 song list. Not sure why you are so keen to Zooropa though. If there is such a thing I think that was the weakest album they made. I think its just to hard to place their songs in order. As for me I do it by albums. My favorite by far is Unforgettable Fire.

lol. Everyone has these strong opinions of what U2's best songs are. I've never been able to choose. Every time I hear "Pride" I think, 'oh yeah, that's the quintessential U2 song', but then I think that every time I hear "With or Without You" or "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" or "Bad". Every time I hear "One" or "Heartland" or "Exit" I get chills. I figure U2 must be contenders for the top spot when it comes to The Band With The Most Defining Songs To Their Name.

It had good pictures and coordination, but it's lacking some great songs like "who's gonna ride your wild horses" "elevation" "miracle drug" and "VERTIGO!" among many others. You could have done much better, but let's face it, it's nearly impossible to put the best bands best songs into a top 30. Eah song is unique and great in it's own way.

Nice list. I would consider trademark songs like:

Bullet the Blue Sky over Please (album and concert), In God's Country over Heartland, Whose Gonna Ride.... over Love is Blindness, and Desire at least a draw with Hawkmoon269 :)

Perhaps heartfelt songs like Kite, With a Shout, and A Sort of Homecoming would outrank Mothers of the Disappeared.

No Line... the single will be forgotten after another album or two and go the way of Elevation and Vertigo. That one was a stretch.

Drowning Man, Breathe, Wave of Sorrow (Birdland), In God's Country, A Man and A Woman, The Hands That Built America, The Sweetest Thing, A Day Without Me - and that's just off the top of my head! I'm sure there are others!
