40 turned out not to be nearly as old as I thought it would be. Great insight on how it loses its inpact after a year.... but 50 did get my atttention.
As usual, your thoughts are delivered with crystal clear clarity. I'm here to learn poetry and in your work I see that meaning can be expressed by cool descriptive writing.
I liked the idea that after a year you would think no more of your new visitor.
I wish I could resist the temptation to tango with the snooze button...just ten more minutes.

Beyond 40.
No more childish playtime. No more excuses doing stuff you know you shouldn't.
No more time wasted on experimenting with wrong hair-colors to please perceived precious peers.
You finally are no longer plagued by fickle juvenile instincts.
Finally the time has come for some *serious* playtime.
Some "I am me"-time.
