  • The point isn't whether this product sticks to petrolium bases, the point is the.products longevity WHEN EXPOSED to petrolium based products for extended periods. As all automotive applications do. Anyone who plans to stick this stuff on to a non treated surface is an idiot. But how does the stuff hold up in the long run is the question

  • Most vehicles ever produced have a petroleum based film on the surface of the sheet metal. This is why other brands require cleaning of the vehicle surface before installing their brands. We use WD 40, a common household petroleum product to demonstrate what happens to these materials when exposed to these surfaces. HushMat is the ONLY one MADE IN THE USA and sticks through the WD 40. The China made brands deteriorate when exposed to it.

  • @HushMat1 On a more positive note, its made in the USA. Support American Products, fellas!

  • I don't have a preference... I have neither but whys it matter that the hushmat sticks to WD-40 and dynamat doesn't? I'm pretty sure my trunk lid isnt dripping with WD-40!

  • HushMat bonds through the WD 40..... This is the fact. The test has been performed live over 100 times - no edit of that. We will not get every auto enthusiast to convert to HushMat and that is OK We will focus on the 99.9% that want the best quality product in their vehicle. We request that all auto enthusiasts that comment in the future use appropriate language as there are youth that follow us on YT. Thank you.

  • Wow, talk about a snake of a salesman. Nice edit (not), and why didn't you smear the WD40 with your product too?! What B.S.!

  • Your example sucks why would u apply it on grease or oil anyways to lazy to clean up or what

  • Nice editing FAIL !!! Funny how the video jumps at :51 ... You can clearly see that the video jumped and went from having Hushmat in hand to being on pan ... Also the lighting told on you ... Everything clearly got brighter ... Thanks I will now never buy Hushmat due to this video ... Ordering 100SqFt. of FatMat as we speak ... Thank You for helping me decide on FatMat

  • I cannot understand why you are trying to stick sound deadening to a surface that has been sprayed with oil.

I mean, what are you trying to prove?

If this is the unique selling point of your 'product' you may as well forget about it pal.

  • he didnt put hushmat over wd 40 sorry not convinced

  • btw this test is useless. i'm never going to spray wd-40 on my car and then put dynamat over it...

  • send me some free hushmat sample and i will replicate this experiment. if it holds true, i will never go back to dynamat. dare to take me up on this?

  • check out 0:51 to 0:52. what's with that camera cutting balogna? ya, nice "fudging" as one of the other comments says. and i don't give a dang where it is made, as long as it performs. rubberized mastic made in china or wherever can be just as good as rubberized mastic made in the United States. i have plenty of dynamat in my car and no problems whatsoever. in fact it is great. i'm not a dynamat rep or anything, i just appreciate a fair test like the others have commented.

  • Andrewserkov1 - We appreciate valid comments to our bench testing. However it appears that you don't understand the technology - HushMat's formula uses the petroleum film on the metal surface as an adhesion promoter. It does not break down. That is why the material doesn't easily "swirl" around. Furthermore the oil base does not break down the HushMat compound like it does with the China made brands. Do not allow our crude bench video sway fact.

  • hope you like my comment

  • We just love these comments. The test for the HushMat is the same and it is compared to each of the "China" and "Poland" made brands. There is much more to come as we continue to expose the marketing gimmicks of these brands. Furthermore - I can't express how wrong you are to assume the only difference between HushMat and others is thickness - not David Copperfield as we have demo'd this live on over 50 occasions. Don't let our "bench video" distort the proper conclusion.

  • Hushmat vs Dynamat, Ballistic, and Standartplast have all the same beginning, not individual test! How come Hushmat didn't rub there product around? WD40 will melt any butyl rubber product, please keep in mind the rubber is the same on all four products. The only difference is the thickness each manufacture produces. The only gimmick here is Hushmant! All I know is this wasn't a test this was a David Copperfield trick.

  • I understand that but atleast do a fair test and dont fudge it

  • it would be nice to see a fair test, atleast swirl the wd40 around on the hushmat like was done on the dynamat. This test doesnt proove anything i would like to see this test done properly, also one with heat because that plays a big roll

  • @crazyzdux I think the important point is the Dynamat stuff is made offshore! Buy the stuff your neighbour builds!
