Wow, I didn't even KNOW you could smack the shadow balls back at him. Is this unique to Vergil's story? I noticed that the lights all went out really fast for pretty much no reason, which I don't recall them doing for Dante, even on DMD...
Looked like on yours they were going out every few seconds, not nearly slow enough for you to use the knock-out-every-light strategy. If I had the game with me I'd look into it. XP
Its because it was on turbo mode I think, but for me, unless I had trickster I never had enough time to knock out all the lights, so meth is much better IMO.

Im currently taking a break at the moment from DMC and playing some other games, but I plan on getting back into it in July and finish up Vergil's Bosses, including LAdy, Arkham, Jester 1 and 2, and then doing DMD SS Strats for Dante as well.
When i first triied the game i did vergil, so no cutscene. So it took a while to figure it out. I was pissed tto see playing Dante first would show you the way to kill this boss. After you figure it out, it is real easy.
I watched a vid of him doing lvl2, so thats all I have to go on. After watching it pretty closely, I'd have to say that Im better but not by much. The reason being is that he relies more on the Phantom Swords and Juggernaut cut, and I saw him Jump cancel starfall only once, nor did he jump cancel helm bringer. Those are key for crazy crowd control.
What difficulty is this?I'm so bad at this game,i can only play in easy.I couldnt even beat lvl 2 of this game on normal. But doppleganger was still the easiest compared to the other bosses.All I did was open all the lights and raped him.You do like 4X the normal damage.
This is Dante Must Die, or as fans have come to refer to it, Vergil Must Die, hence the small VMD that appears in the right corner of every boss strat vid.
The doppelganger was the hardest boss for me too, until I figured out his attack patterns, then it suddenly became a ride in the park. All the bosses get kinda boring once you can predict exactly everything they'll do, it reminds you that they really are nothing but computer programs and they're not all that smart, lol.
Yeah thats true of all bosses. Whats interesting though is the amount of time it takes before we can reach that level where we can predict their next move. The bosses in DMC especially arent that easy, and require a few solid hours of practice before we learn all their pattens, which is only evidence to the programming genius that makes this game so dam good.

today i did a new run and i was suprised it was so much easier since the last time a few mistakes but no dmg xD i did beowulf only ;)

the lights all go out on mission 18 I think, but could be just a rare occurence. And no, Dante can smake the balls back as well.
