  • hey guys.. it's quite simple.. the golf has a swapped engine from a Tdi p130.. with a few mods and he gets around 300 nm of torque and around 170 hp so.. of course integra loose for such vw, part cos he is N/A

  • @99Lezard99 true i sold my gsr and i like big rims by the way i had 18" on my gsr i had those same 18" on my 94 coupe with 2 inch drop the tires where inside the fenders, thought it would scrape but i never had a problem oh and by the way they were not chrome i hate crome wheels they looked very nice they where all black with 5 spoke and the spokes fromt where kinda chrome like a star kinda and everything else was stock on the exterior i only put rims on the outside

There are lots of TDi's with 200hp keeping up with Civic 1.6 VTi's & the 1st thing the Honda fans say is "Thats only a 1.5 LS, a real Vtec would have left you behind" or "The Vtec wasn't trying" Not true at all. My own 200hp TDi has blown black smoke & shown clean heals at quite a few chavs in their Civic VTi S's. A TDi 150 is 8.6 secs, a Civic VTi S is 7.9 secs, remap a TDi to 200hp & it becomes 7.8 seconds.

  • @mauiboypoi Its like they have nothing intresting to talk about apart from B16a2's. Have you ever worked on a Civic VTi S? For build they are very similar to Fiat Bravo's & Rover 200's. I worked on one that had track-rod problems & the build quality is very poor. Like Fiat - good engine, good gearbox but they stuck it in a heap of shit that rusts away or falls apart. Don't believe everything you hear, they always have their own fair share of faults.

  • @CJRamze I agree that tegs are alot, even so 99 percent of people with these hondas have shit set ups, i have a b16a motor in my car with minimal work and i race my buddy in his 2.8 vr6 and let me tell you its not even a race. There is difference of more than a second between us 1/4 mile and his aint stock. The problem is most b series around arent jdm and all the drivers are crap. When it comes down to it both vws and hondas are amazing but hondas have more parts out there for cheaper costs

    With that said, I've seen 280BHP and 400FTLB of Torque out of a 130bhp TDI Golf engine and thats basically cheap but larger turbo, larger injectors, cone filter, remap (And obviously a bigger clutch) I feel that you can tune a VW and gain much more with minimal costs.

    I totally agree with you! Those ''Pumpe Duse''(PD) engines are sick... they are capable of handling up to 300hp without changing internals(pistons, rods. etc.)

    great engine and really really good daily driven engines that are really economical.

  • @lamazver I've got a 200hp PD Leon FR myself, mine happily keeps focus ST170's, Civic VTi's & Astra 2.2 Bertones off its backside while running on 50+ miles to the gallon when you want to cruise. They sound like tractors & smoke but thats a small price to pay for the multiple purposes they serve like the heavy haulage & towing abilities, brilliant MPG & lower emmissions, you'd never want to switch back to sporty unleaded cars again after a remapped tdi.

  • @lamazver Hey thanks buddy, I'm not totally anti-petrol, petrol has a lot of things going for it but when its an everyday 7.5-8.0 second car i'd much rather it be a diesel, most petrol cars get expensive on fuel at these stats. Besides as an extra bonus you always get the smacky overtaking torque power up at the higher speeds where the 7.5-8.0 second petrols are weaker.

    My brother owns mk4 tdi 110hp with remap now it has around 140bhp.. this car is insane with fuel consumption.. you can do easily 1000km with one reservoir of fuel...

    I like TDi engines, they are really great as I sad already.

    I don't have that much money, but i will buy newer car with PD engine for sure...

    they are far better than any petrol engine... i do own 8sec car, and it's not that hard on fuel consumption, i can easily do 100km's with 8liters.

  • @lamazver PD's aren't that costly to buy now, I have seen some good 2002 Golf Mk4 150 PD's going over here for less than 3 grand. In fact, they are actually cheaper than the overrated petrol Focus ST170's. Remap a PD & it will laugh in the face of a 170

    Well, thats over there, I'm from Croatia, and here cars are very expencive, especially newer cars. Our average salary is about 400 pounds, and thats really not enough to buy newer car...

    if i could find mk4 golf with 150pd engine for 4000€ over here, i would be really happy. Those cars over here are about 7000-8000€ even higher for better ones.

    Maybe one day i will buy newer car... i will have to manage something about that.

  • @mauiboypoi 2001-2005 is the best shape, in 2006 they ruined it. The MkII's are a good shape all over but the front is awful. They are solid to be in & good to drive apart from the horrible bumper-car accelerator pedal but its so ugly. Same with Ibizas best shape was 2002-2008 now the shape has gone horrid! I sure hope Seat are deliberately making them ugly so the new generation are going to look all kinetic like Ford. Can't wait to see them next!

    My 180BHP Cupra was stock, with a cone filter a more durable recirculation valve and a remap (Totalling about £300 in all) I managed around 253bhp with 260FT lb of toruqe throw £300 at a Honda and your lucky to get a Gruppe M!

  • @B16power69 yup honda is the better buy in the us way cheaper parts and i have to say b16 are not fast and they say 160 hp on a 2400 lb 99 coupe and my gsr had 170 only 10 more hp mut weighs 2800lb and i smoked any b16 with bolt ons and my gsr only had a cold air intake i smoked b16 coupes on my d16 coupe. and jdm or usdm is no difference it almost the same

  • @B16power69 it is a tdi man, Turbo Direct Injection. if that golf is a tdi, it has to be an engine swap. its probably an ALH or PD110 engine. anywhere from 200ftlbs-250ftlbs stock

  • Diesels are a proper mans car, they are for a mans man who works hard & looks after himself. A Petrol is for a little femin ponce who shows off to his gf/bf but runs away when theres a fight to be sorted. To see a smokey TDi smashing a Vtec makes me smile. A car that can tow, climb hills, & smoke the next arsehole who tailgates - thrashing a Petrol specifically designed for racing purposes only is priceless!

It only lasts another 10 years because it hasn't been straying off its own driveway with no milage gained, whereas diesels could be driven to the moon & back if it was possible to do that. Its very funny how my TDi on 200Bhp has had a remap which has been on my ECU for considerably longer than 1 week & it hasn't fucked up yet. Btw Its not counted on the amount of years the car actually lasts... Its the milage dearie.

  • What I saw was a good fair start from both cars, the Honda broke out in its Vtec zone, the driver kept it there the way they should have done, It was beaten by a TDi. You can't tell if a person can drive or not based on how or what their car looks like I'm afraid. Its not an actual fact found in a dictionary "A bodykit means the driver can't drive" When I see it in a dictionary I'll beleive it.

  • till you own both of the two cars you wont kno i myself have owned in oder 90'civic sedan d16y8 swap 93' dakota sport pick up and a 96 gti now well most recent 93 teg not only did my old civic move quicker but my teg fucking owns stock gti's well at least ones cloce to my year lol but dats irrelevant gti's have tourqe close to there power but they are heavy as shit and dont feel as sporty as the hondas

  • I'd say they are solid rather than heavy whereas Hondas are built like tin foil in comparison to VW. Not all of VAG are heavy, Seats are usually lighter than VW. Parkers claims that 3-cyl 1.2 12V Seat Ibizas were the slowest 1.2 in their class, they actually hit 60 quicker than a Corsa 1.2 & Fiesta 1.25 because they don't weigh anything.

  • I didn't say Diesel fuel was faster than petrol you moron, by the way I have a lovely collection of TDi's winning against Vtec Civics includint CTR's so its obviously a 50/50? You have seen vids with diesels losing I have seen just as many with diesels winning. Btw The Golf looks much nicer though its 10yrs older than the Honda & it holds it money more than that flimsy Jap Crap. :-p

  • Whats so special about a Honda then? I don't find myself looking twice at one its like a piece of road furniture to me (or trash). You laugh that it smokes like an old train but it sure went like a train! You see, us TDi owners don't get offended when you say its old & smokey, we know that.     and i dont say golfs are not reliable but they are boring to me so as diesel engines.

    its enough to say a diesel NEEDS a turbo to drive at all. show me a 2.6L diesel with turbo that throws over 1000hp! i didnt find anything.

    japan engineering can do that. ok maybe no 1.6 vti but rb26dett or 2jz aso.

  • "Diesel engines are boring" Erm excuse me, the person replying to you drives turbo petrols & Diesels all the time for a car rental company. Short shift thrashing on a sport diesel from 2,000-3,500 revs has much more zest & zing to it than keeping a petrol in a zone of 4,000-6,000 revs. I'm not interested in 1000hp I'm more interested in 1000 newton meters of torque. :-p

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Torque is for idiots thiking a car with a lot of torque is really fast. Torque gives you a "feeling" but is absolutely not a reason to say the car is fast.

    Check some vw V10 TDI in front of a V10 Fsi and tell me what's faster mister " i diesels and petrol all the time"

  • @Philmen What do you think torque does? PULLS A CAR FORWARD. Something a petrol doesn't do. If you had a real car with proper torque power and not some revvy little can of trash you might understand what torque is and does. Petrols rely on power/weight ratio and don't have proper power. Put a V10 TDI and a V10 FSI up a hill or fill it up with a few passengers and we will whats faster then eh chump.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Just check where diesel are used first ? Tractors. Because it's just shitty. I used to drive some bmw 120d with chiptuning, it gives a good feeling of torque everytime, but when you watch the dashboard it's just funny how it is slow. Diesel engines have always a shitty exhaust note, are dirty, and much heavier than petrol engines (most of the time for the same like v10 tdi v10 fsi).

    You can have 1000nm on a truck and 1000hp on an another truck, you just know who will win ;)

  • @Philmen Right... Education time!!! Before diesel was invented to be compressed, they first used petrol side-valve engines in lorries and tractors and other agricultural machinery. So where do you think petrol engines were born from? A racing car? Hardly. Diesel took over because it is far more efficient then petrol and diesels don't bust their guts in stupid heights of revolutions to extract the correct power from the crankshaft. Yes I'm sure you had a 120d, I had an enchanted jock strap once.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Who's talking about invented fisrt or last ? Diesels are used in tractors and trucks because it's not sporty and just gives a bunch of torque. You're talking about efficiency, yes they technically are more efficient but easy when you add a turbo ? Diesel without turbo = nothing.

  • @Philmen They are used in tractors and trucks because they are found to be more efficient and they generated the same amount of revs as a side-valve petrol engine but have more pulling power. I can say the same about petrol, Petrol without electrical current from a battery and spark plugs = Nothing. Diesel is the only fuel which can run on a self independant mechanical pump and no electrical current assistance whatsoever. They don't even need an ignition just a crank-handle does the trick.

  • @Philmen With a fuel on/off cut-off valve and a crankhandle, you have a fully operational mechanical turbo diesel running totally independantly with no electrical assistance and no engine management required. Name me a petrol that can do that without a battery or a magnito switch? Turbo's are mechanically spun through the vehicles own exhaust emissions whereas a spark plug requires a seperate electrical volt (24/7) from a battery to operate. Turbo Diesel is less reliant so I rest my case.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t You obivously are totally into cars just for cruising and we just argue on different styles of cars. Petrol engines are just 100 times better because HIGH revs are the best to use a car on a racetrack, turbo diesel are just fake engines created for people like you.

    What about your favourite word : torque ? The max torque on aspirated petrol engine just comes at 2500rpm, which is the perfect rev to shift, who need more for guys like you driving only in cities ?

  • @Philmen Why have Seat touring cars started using TDI then? And why do Vauxhall have a 888 Astra? If petrols were 100x better then diesel on a racetrack then why would they be looking at diesel for touring cars? Dumb shit. The maximum torque on a petrol doesn't come in until its at 3,500 - 4,000 revs so thats a bit useless and late. Doesn't matter if its 2,000 or 2,500Rpm it depends on the gear ratio layout that determines the best shifting point not the height of the revs.

It will always be shitty engines for me, without any soul, any sound, any efficiency. The common diesel engines are all 4 cylinders on v6, and even the VW v10 tdi suck, it's just for old people who want tons of torque a 1500rpm and nothing after, boring !

  • @Philmen Petrols rubbish, the powers in all the wrong places, it takes half an hour to get it and it gets 4x weaker the higher you change up a gear. Its only strong when its in the lowest gear possible and you have to break the gearbox and almost bust the engine to find sufficient enough power to get it to move otherwise it doesn't. I can't live with something that doesn't go when its asked to thats why I don't own a petrol anymore.

  • @Philmen I have had 4 good petrol engined cars including a BMW 3 series which I recently sold but petrols in general are torqueless and gutless and as soon as you carry people or lug a load they wimp out on power like little girls. Petrols are all the same and if you actually want decent amounts of power and refinement they just guzzle it even when you don't want them to. I had enough of petrol after the BMW stayed with diesel, been the happiest owning diesel and will never go back.

I exactly know why you prefer diesel engines, it's just because it's easier to use, you can be in a bad gear it's still easy to take out the torque or power because the turbo saves it. But i think you just like TURBO ENGINES. Ever owned a turbo petrol ?

  • @Philmen Diesels pull a heavy load better because they have more torque and that isn't a feeling that is a fact. Petrols suffer more of a power loss under weight carrying then diesels because they have less torque. Petrols rely on a clean power/weight ratio 24/7 because they do not have the torque to compensate. The speedometer on diesels is unexpectedly higher then petrols, its the other way round. I have driven lots of turbo petrols and supercharged, I used to drive CGI 350's and CGI 180's

  • @Philmen Neither would I, I wouldn't buy a 120d either... I would buy a 123d! No one is asking you to buy a diesel are they? You are just getting bitter because diesels are getting just as fast as petrols but with far better efficiency left right and centre. Who likes petrol anyway its trash, it overheats and runs on dangerous explosive vapours. Its clearly a thing of the past and should be erradicated and banned.

  • @Philmen Its funny how a petrol has to be nearly double the size of a diesel just to get the same amount of power, either that or it needs 10 turbo's and 9,000 revs. Shows you how uselessly inefficient it is, soon they will clock on and realise that diesels can lift upto nearly 7,000 revs on new internals. Then petrol will be the old side-valve inefficiency that nobody wants anymore. I hope they do away with unleaded, diesels are getting less tractorish and theres no need for petrol anymore.

  • @1ns4ne1d10t Double size petrol because all the powerful diesel got TURBO, take a 2.0l turbo diesel and 2.0 turbo petrol, you don't need to have 3 liters to have the same power of the diesel ! You really want 100% efficient engines ? Electric. But be honest, what's more sporty than a petrol engine ? Diesel got fucking shitty sound, black smoke at every big acceleration, all the engines are just the same : A TURBO. Petrol engines are the best way to drive and enjoy. Diesel are for women.

  • @Philmen The turbo in a 2.0 litre petrol has to put out 3x the amount of PSI inorder to match the power of a 2.0 diesel because it doesn't have any. Electric is useless, the polluting factories need to create the amount of electricity required to go in the car so its hardly what you call 'efficient' is it? Petrols are just crap cheap rubbish that emit harmful emissions and don't offer any driving pleasure, they can't even decently overtake properly so what kind of enjoyment is that?

  • @Philmen Exactly, a petrol can't run without its precious electrical current, but a diesel can still run without a turbo. So that arguement doesn't stand in favour of crappy petrol engines does it? Lol. The smoke just discipates into nothing because its improperly unburned diesel and its a solid soot which just falls to the ground and helps the soil grow. Besides what do you think an EGR, CAT and DPF do on a diesel? Harness the emissions. You don't know anything at all do you? ha ha
