@damarucha There is swimming and duels (in ruler mode) but I'm not 100% on ladder climbing since I have never tried. Btw, if you plan on playing with a friend, then you might wanna consider skipping out on the campaigns unless you wanna spend a few hours finding an officer. I did "Land in Chaos" or w/e its called and recruited my custom officers.

im pretty sure there is no renbu meter, Meng Huo is now in it, and the weapon changes from dynasty warriors 6 special for the ps2 have been introduced, so zhang he now has his claws back, ect.
