Just makes me sad she will probably never be recognized by the public over here in Germany, since her music's not "Mainstream" enough and her lyrics are too witty to be understood by the average english-speaking German. I've only seen her live once in 2004 as support act for Sting, where she got laughed at or even boohed. I was the only one around cheering :)
Nellie is awesome. Zoey Deshanal has been influenced by her in big way. Nellie has such good pitch control that she can use disonance effects with her voice.
Isn't it sad that the human species has retrograded into cultural freefall.
Nellie is young and keeps putting out volumes of work. If she influences actors she will have more serious imitators soon. She may turn the whole music scene around.
Feminists don't play ukuleles in tune :P - great song though.
