Interesting isn't it that they're developing all this new tech, and instead of making a simple system on board the car to convert the water into hydrogen as needed, they're setting up hydrogen stations isn't it? Again, all about the money, you don't need to by hydrogen, it's EASY, and extremely efficient to make a pure clean burning source, look at more vid's here to see.
1982FJM People don't NEED a car at all, they WANT them! Why stay in your local area? What human race/civilisation/culture has ever done that? People like to travel. Ever been on holiday or are you a hick that thinks the place you live is the centre of the universe? Get out more, get a passport, travel, see stuff, meet people, STOP WHINING!
there is still an icredible amount of pollution caused by the manafacture of all the parts in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. THe key is to change our lifestyles and not be reliant on transport vehicle. Nobody needs to travel around long distances to remain alive. It's only a capitalist lifestyle the support this
@1982FMJ the future is hydrogen or electric battery or alcool or vegetable oil . the hydrogen the cleanest the fastest the easiest and the cheapest way and any country can produce it so it help all the poor country . the battery way is dangerous because of the acid and the material in it . alcool and vegetable oil need farm to produce it . hydrogen only need water and the uv of the sun
you still need plastic for battery casings and all the other parts that require the use of crude oil. ALso you need to question what this technology will be used for. IT will still be used to support a way of life that is not a necessary way of staying alive. people don't need these massive oversized huge vehicles in the first place and if they stayed in there local area they wouldn't need such transport.
@1982FMJ hydrogen come from water , hydrogen is everywhere even on space. our future space ship can use that technology too , and all the cars even the oldest can swap the old carburator system and use a direct hydrogen injection , all the companys don`t need a radikal change or producing only boring little insecure car to the public . in long term hydrogen is the cheapest way and cars will live longer and all the technician like me don`t need to return to school to study electricity

I wonder what is the average mpg for an all pure hydrogen automobile. It would be excellent if the all hydrogen car can achieve the same mpg, if not better more, than the gasoline automobile.
I am interested in the technology that can run your car both on pure hydrogen alone and electric alone. Each with a push of a button, or both at the same time. I think it is possible.
Regarding your comment 10 months ago. I think the Fuel Cell Concept is not practical. If we're using hydrogen gas to turn it to water to spark electrons in a cell stack, how much electricity are we getting??
Thermonuclear bombs (H-bombs) work by using the energy of a fission bomb (enriched uranium or plutonium) in order to compress and heat fusion fuel (hydrogen isotopes: deuterium and tritium). The massive power is created on a atomic level... simply lighting hydrogen on fire is NOWHERE near as powerful!
Do us all a favor; take a chemistry class, remove your head from whoevers ass told you hydrogen power isn't safe, and maybe do a little research before making dumb comments!
then what is the point? sure it saves a little pollution and will possibly be the solution to dependance on foreign oil but hydrogen doesnt cost that much to produce/convert
FUEL CELL IS NOT AN ENGINE BUT A MINI-POWER PLANT to generate electricity for Electric Motor to run the car. I ask WHY do you want to "carry" the Fuel Cell in a car, JUST KEEP THE FUEL CELL AT CHARGING STATION to generate electricity for PLAIN ELECTRIC cars to come and charge. At least you won't have safety issues connected with carrying hydrogen around and lesser weight(no fuel cell stack & no Hydrogen cylinders) to carry around. WHY CARRY FUEL CELL AROUND WITH YOU?
You say this like the "people" don't already know this... Sure there are people who are completely blind to anything but gas... but everyone wants it.. it just that no company will seriously act on it unless the government mandates it. and guess what.. our current president has his hand too deep into the oil barrel to really do anything about it.So please don't blame all Americans.I didn't vote for him.Just the ones that don't buy alt fuel cars or don't convert their current cars to other fuels.
I am 15 and I live in America. Even I know that oil isnt going to last forever. Our stupid president is still attacking other countries for oil. Only 8 more months untill that dumbass is out of office and we can have change for the better. Im glad to see that other people in the world think the same way I do.
Hydrogen technology has been around for a long time, goverments try to keep such energy technologys a secret, you all heard what a hydrogen power plant the size of a car can do, power an intire city block... if i was to insttal one into my basement home like a furness i would never have to pay the power bill or a tax again, so there wouldnt be a market or a tax being paid the goverments and corps loose power over people. also people who grow weed would never steal power.. police cant track them
there is more than one kind of hybrid out there you know...& I bet you're not superficial at all, I believe when you take a crap-golden nuggets fall out, isn't that right?
Norway is lucky. The price for gasoline in Canada has sky rocketed and if Hydrogen is introduced, then people will start riding bikes. I don't know, I wish the whole fuel issue would be resolved soon. :)
@omfg4000 it is not cheaper to produce in small volumes for a few cars. But when hydrogen stations and cars becomes common prices will drop. In big volumes it can be produced cheap.
Loss of revenue can make large companies, even the auto industries; change their "business model". Sure the government can help with legislation to force them to put out new technology, but the true power is in our hands. Stop buying or leasing new gasoline powered cars for a year. Tell your friends and family to wait a year. See my vids.
Think has plans for launching the battery powered version in several countries. The fuel cell version will mainly be offered to fleet users in hydrogen infratructure projects. Both cars are really nice cars to drive and has a good driving range.

@heartlessvietboy The mpg depens on the actual car. However a fuel cell car is more efficient than a gasoline car.
A plug in electric fuel cell car as you describe exsist. The Think hydrogen car is actuallly working like you suggest.

how much would it cost to fill one up with hydrogen?
bmxer8699 4 years ago
In Norway hydrogen is priced equal to petrol/gasoline per energy content. So you get the same amount of energy in hydrogen as you would for gasoline.
krusehydrogen 4 years ago
why does hydrogen cost as much as petrol though...
bmxer8699 4 years ago
You can make it yourself for about $0.30 a gallon (values equal to gallon of petrol).

yea wtf, i could care less about the environment and more on how much fuel costs... paying the same for hydrogen would make it dead in the water
