  • I like the fact the camera shakes every time he fires the Revolver, that just tells you that those .357 Rounds have good amount of Kick to it, powerful and it's a perfectly balanced firearm.

  • That's a beautiful gun. I'm a fan of revolvers. I own a 65-3 that is about 27 years old, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Hopefully on Friday I will purchase a 4" GP100 that is at my local gun shop. Thanks for uploading this.

  • I like the guy whos like "IS DAT A FOUTY FOAR??"

  • @Hm0ngPrid3 I actualy read .. did you have a cock when you fired ? lol badly missread

  • @Hm0ngPrid3 its a single action pistol that means u have to cock it back everytime u want to fire

  • @27lilroyse no its SA and DA i have one

  • What do you think about the Ruger sp 100, I'm thinking of getting one for a ccw, just when I get tired or don't feel like carrying around GP 100?

  • @Mr291229 great gun

  • @zboyco ok thank you for the reply, do have one?

  • @Mr291229 i dont

  • @zboyco, I just lost mine in a horrifically stupid incident where even the ATF was like "wtf?" and those guys....well anyway...it made me really sad because I liked it ALMOST as much as my Glock 19 (which I also had to sell, along with a Kimber TLE 2 1911 .45, two Beretta 92s, and a Springfield XDm .40, which was the best along with the Glock 19 and the Ruger). Which I found interesting because the Kimber was an $1000 gun, made for SWAT and SIS, yet the Glock 19, Taurus-PT 92-

  • @zboyco, and eventually once I learned how different it is to fire a revolver effectively than a semi-auto, I also outshot the Kimber, my buddy's SIG P226, a Smith & Wesson M&Pc (which is an amazing semi-auto), and a whole range of other guns-all with the Glock 19, the Ruger, a snub S&W .357 (with mainly .38s going in), and the Springfield XDm. I was really surprised by the results, not so much with the Springfield as it has quite the rep-the Glock is considered middle-range, the revolvers

  • @Mr291229, were old as beaters over 30 years. My police shooter was a 1976 200th anniversary edition (U.S, obviously :P)

It fired as great as the day it was made I'm sure. Even though when I got it-it was not rust-covered, but getting there. Mine was black and had a "very healthy" amount of holster and battle-wear on it lol. I miss it so much. Fucking pawn shop tried to say I was doing a "straw sale" getting back my own gun!

  • I have a Security Six stainless steel 23/4" barrel, love it.

  • i have a ruger security six .38 special cal

  • I just got one of these, it was an actual service pistol, made in 1976

  • Is it the Security Six model?

  • looks like they are shooting some really hot loads in that gun.

  • Is it wrong to touch yourself to this vid?

  • Nice, aren't they? Got a blued one nearly 20 yrs. ago, with Pachmayr grips, but got the wood grips to see it as it originally was.

  • @hovanti, that's EXACTLY what I got. Well, my friend got it and an XD 40 for 250 bucks for both!!! it was an obvious steal. He lent the 357 to me and I don't plan on giving it back, tee-hee (I of course wll be giving him money)

  • @cramestylez keep playing videos games little boy

  • DUDE. At exactly 1:04 is an awsome fireball. I can't wait to pick up my security six next week.

  • please tell me some 1 noticed the black guy talking?

  • @MR911paintballa "Is that a fo-tay fo?!"

  • @powderedtoastmandude ahaha i thought i was the only 1 i noticed

  • Nice looking revolver I just wish they had a better double action trigger pull.

  • @Hm0ngPrid3 no you can fire DA or SA

  • @zboyco I'm so glad I listen to your advice about the 357 ruger GP100 over the Taurus 357, I'm enjoying and it's going to strong, oh it's also my ccw gun as well.

  • @Mr291229 rugers are good guns but i like smiths better just my opinion but i like rugers over taurus as well

  • @zboyco firing it DA is best

  • I need one of these

  • people say this gun is worse than the .44 and yet this gun don't have as much recoil which in my view is better.

  • @AWkid22 well those people are crazy cause this in ways is better than .44, its cheaper, more practical, and like a .44 no one will be standing after getting hit by it

  • Hey zboyco I thought what u said about the taurus and after hearing so many up and down review about them, I decided to stay away from and it, so I bought the ruger 357 GP-100. And you were right about the ruger's these guns are built like a tank.

  • @Mr291229 good choice. love my gp-100

  • Question what's the best ammo to get for a 357 for critical defense, I was thinking either hollow point or hydroshok, also what grained is decent enough where it will not go through my walls. thank you.

  • @Mr291229 hydrashock, gold dot, rangers, and Corbon DPX

  • @zboyco Thank you for the information, I apprecaite it, and u have a good day.

  • @zboyco You know something I'm getting frustrated with the gun store in my county here in Florida, I wanted to get the best ammo like gold dot or hydrashock, forget about it they don't really sell any Corbon ammo, none of the about what's another good ammo for self defense, is winchester or remington have good ammo as well, if so please share with me. Also I bought some ammo from wal-mart and thought I got JHP but instead I got JSP is JSP a good defense round?

  • @Mr291229 get a good bonded JHP or an all copper bullet in +P and your good in

  • @zboyco Ok sounds good, is there any way where I can buy bulk ammo and if so what's the website information, I rather get some bulk then spending almost $30 for 20 to 25 rounds of ammo?

  • @Mr291229 if your talking target ammo then walmart, sportsman guide, georgia arms, aim surplus, ammunition to go are good places for it

  • @zboyco Not target ammo but thanks for that information as well, but I'm talking about self-defense ammo in bulk.

  • pause at 52 even cooler

  • silly africans.....

  • pause at 0:25 cool

  • love the muzzle flash - gotta love shooting .357 rounds

  • That Ruger will last forever, nice cylinder/muzzle flash.

  • I love the last gen Ruger wheel gun. My Service Six have been a wonderful tank for years. I like it more so the my GP100. The frame fit me better.

  • Does that not have a rear sight?. And how much did that set you back?

  • i guess it does technically. it has two notches to align the font sight but they are built into the frame. 300 bucks

  • 300$ for the whole gun or the sights?

  • whole gun

  • Anybody know exactly why police departments phased revolvers out?

    They fire more powerful cartridges.

  • I heard that there was a public outcry that police .357's were doing to much damage to criminals (dont know if its true or not)

Also. I suspect the fact that 9mm or .40S&W ammo is cheaper may have been a factor.

Then theres the argument of a higher capacity

  • Well some police forces still use revolvers but they are being phased out because of the reasons you mentioned.

  • @ToonandBBfan They switched due to capacity and the ability to reload quicker. But the one downfall of using a 357 mag for police work is over penetration.

  • @recruit71 Is too much penetration not good, I think I like it, to put the bad guy down quick with one shot. I use to have a 357 smith&wesson 4' barrel and I really miss that gun, I'm thinking of getting another one.

  • @Mr291229 I personally like the round. But the round can easily over penetrate and enter another person, ie and incocent bystander. And in Law Enforcement, you never have that "perfect" shot opportunity. There are always going to be bystanders behind or near your target. Thats way the .40 cal is popular. A good .40 cal hollow point wont over penetrate. And if it does, it has incredibly less energy after passing through your suspect.

  • @recruit71 You know something I never thought of it that way, and you're right, I don't want any innocent bystanders getting hurt because of a miss shot or over penetration, I'm just so use to it because that was my work gun when I was doing Armed Guard for a bank and Armored Truck.

  • @ToonandBBfan They switched due to capacity and the ability to reload quicker. But the one downfall of using a 357 mag for police work is over penetration.

  • @recruit71 I'm also use to hearing the bigger the caliber the better but you made me realizing how dangerous over penetration is. I need to be carefull of what I choose now, well what gun do you recommend for cww other than the 357 magnum.

  • @Mr291229 If you are comfortable using a .357 revolver then use one of those. I prefer a Glock .40 model 23, I have carried on and off duty for 4 years so i trust my life with it. I would recomend a .40 or .45. The bullets are bigger in diameter but they are traveling at a slower velocity. Where as a .357 is a magnum cartridge traveling at a higher/faster velocity.

  • @recruit71 I've been thinking of getting a forty-five, I like them alot, I had one right after I sold my 357 in chicago, now that I'm back in Florida, I'm considering of getting another 45. Thank you for your advice.

  • @recruit71 Now this is going to sound crazy and funny, when I got my first Armed Guard Bank Security Officer, I wanted to by a 44 magnum for my duty weapon and my boss found out what I was going to purchase and laugh so hard and then said are you crazy, no man you can't have a 44. I still laugh at it still till this day, I know what i was thinking. hahaaha lol

  • @ToonandBBfan Yeah a .357 will fuck someone up. 9mm is a cleaner wound.

  • @ToonandBB I atteneded high school in houston, tx in the 80's, and boy I tell you the police and the constables in houston all had .357, your statement is very true... my dad bought the C.O.P. compact off duty polce revolver--it fired.38..357 & .22LR-4barrel--excellent gun specially .357 rounds....

  • @ToonandBBfan i think i heard they dont like using the 9mm because its penetration is so great but im not completly sure

  • than can carry revolvers as back up. but i think they have to buy there own rounds

  • This IS my dream gun, this then the beretta 92

  • Who's the idiot asking questions in the middle of his shooting?"Is that a 44?".Moron.

  • Actually, that was a guy I see at the range a lot that is back from the Marine Corp.

  • he meant is it a .44 magnum

  • hey chill the man just asked a simple question

  • I've heard guys on youtube say that Semi-auto's require a "breaking in period".

Do Revolvers require breaking in or do they shoot right straight out the box?

    Thanks

  • as in all weapons, the more you use it the more the action gets broken in and smoother. but with a revolver, its going to fire right out the box being the most dependable out there

  • Best +hang bout dem iz dey dont leave shellz

  • I wonder how long is the reloading time? That will be the disadvantage in a gun fight.

  • not if you have a couple HKS speedloaders with you

  • Oh yes. I forgot that the 6 rounds are compiled together with the HKS. I am use to old fashion, basic learning of gun loading from my rifle coach from high school.

  • how much is a pack of ammo?

  • usually around 25$ for 50 rounds. this is if you buy actual .357 rounds. you can purchase .38 special for about 15 or so, but these lack the punch that you like so much in the .357 rounds.

plus the smell of spent powder is amazing with .357 haha

  • do a Vid of you just pulling the trigger

  • I love wheel guns.

  • they are the real guns

  • I got this Same gun 2 in barrel.357 magnum Ruger Police service six. IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!

  • hey you can put 44 bullets in that thing?

  • negative

  • It would be awesome to have a 44 round capacity in a revolver.

  • r u on drugs

  • I wanted to see the Muzzle flash, but it's hard to pause on a nano second.

  • Nice. I have a S&W 686 .357 Magnum, and I get the same reaction at the shooting range. It gets attention!

  • 38 +p

  • i was messing around. it was magtech 158 grain .357 magnum i was firing

  • its 357 but 38 ammo

  • its 357 magnum+p+p+p+p+p

  • Holy crap its shaking the camera. =O

  • looks very effective

  • those guns are beast. i went squirrel hunting with one and let me tell you..it was not pretty..

  • got it from an ad in the paper for 300

  • Man O.J. really wanted to fire that shotgun didn't he? They were probably gonna be late for Vegas...

I can't believe you were in the lane right next to The Juice, that was historic.

  • TRULY WAS

  • Dang nigga, that bee uh fohdeefoh sounds like a fodee ounce of old english nigga dog!

  • I don't understand how you fire it. Why is the trigger already back when you fire, and how do you fire it (by releasing the finger forward? What if you don't want to fire?)

  • you can either fire it just by pulling the trigger or pulling back the hammer which cocks back the trigger like you were inquiring about and then just pull the trigger. i was firing it single action because its a lighter trigger pull when doing that increasing my accuracy.

  • The gun can be fired by pulling the trigger and never touching the hammer. He has chosen to pull the hammer back, because he thinks it is more accurate that way.I have done it both ways and it is optional.

  • I like the janky nigger in the background, "dang, that be uh 3 fiftee seven!"

    HAHA!

  • racism....

  • im about to get a marlin .357 carbine

  • You will love it and you will probably never let it go.What I mean is,it is a keeper.

  • these things r fuckin powerful! it's no wonder cowboy movies were so popular

  • im thinkin of geting a 357

  • YES GET IT

  • no.. I hold my 500 magnum with one hand

  • hahah realy? i dought it (not because of you its because of the gun)

  • lean forward a bit, is that single action

  • learn to spell and use propper grammer before you tell someone to shut up

  • ok...wen you actualy shoot a gun then you can make a comment like that but untill then dont act like a tuff guy.

  • men, I find that holding a pistol with two hand is pretty cool, that guy looklike a commando...by the way I have a magnum bb gun :)

  • what the fuck is a magnum bb gun you retard?

  • I just bought one in Virginia today. The whole process took about 30 minutes - background check included. Now to find a place to fire it. Any good ranges in Northern Virginia?

  • can i ask what you paid for your revolver???

  • I paid $499

  • Just go to some woods and shoot for free.

  • NRA range

    Gilbert small arms

    Clark brothers

    Blue ridge arsenal

  • Just watched your other video.

But Its even better to see this mini hand cannon in action.

I would love to shoot a .357 one day

(I'm English and gun laws are rather tight in my country)

  • what do u have to go through to have a weapon where u live

  • You need a shotgun certificate to own a double barrel or a pump/automatic but it cant have a larger capacity than 2+1.

I think you need a police check and someone to vouch for you to obtain the licence.

To own a rifle is even harder because you then need a fire arms certificate (they are much harder to get I'm told).

    All handguns are illegal here.

  • shouldent that be a double action pistol

  • it is

  • why you cocking it? isn't it double action?

  • yea, but you always get better accuracy with cocking the hammer

  • meh if you wanna feel old school i geuss

  • if you dont pull back the hammer, sure its faster but you get more recoil

  • Nice clicking sound with that hammer! very good audio quality

  • Nice Video!

  • Nice Video!

  • three fitty seven, nice and crisp

  • what a beaut!

  • .357's the best. It's a beast of a man stopper

  • ABSOLOUTELY!!!!!!!!!,, i just bought an 8 shot 357,, L.O.V.E it
