  • gordon my hero

  • Funny how its the same group of guys that kept holding Bob Armstrong back! Best studio brawl of the year! If they had that category. I enjoyed the GCW days!

  • LoL @ the ref that looks like Bonnie Franklin running around the ring like a chicken with his arms in the air @ 7:22

  • The man announcing the events, the late Freddie Miller, his signature saying was, "Don't miss it, BE THERE!"

  • harley race legit badass

  • Jim Ross isn't fit to carry Gordon Solie's jock strap. JR is a clown compared to the genius of Gordon Solie.

  • wiiiiiiiildfire!

  • Harley was awesome in the promo!

  • How can this be '82 if Ric Flair was the champ by then, after beating Dusty in september of '81?? I guess they used an older clip.

  • @Paquiviris14 Flair was the champ here. Race wanted the title back and had to beat Rich to get a shot at Flair. The promo by Race was done while he was still champ.

  • Gordon Solie > jim ross

The Dean of wrestling commentators forever!

  • @WatchVenusSpa Absolutely. Gordon Solie was a million times better than Jim Ross. I hate when people even compare them. Gordon Solie is and always will be the best.

  • This is how its done.

  • wow, Harley Race was frikin boring wit da mic..... and i thought Cena Sucked cuting a promo.....still i think he was great, gonna look 4 some of his matches.

  • Piper giving us a glimpse of what he would become in the WWF.

  • RIP JACK BRISCO

  • My god, it's pure mayhem in there!

    Pure mayhem!!

Somebody get security in there! Now!

  • Harley was a lousy interviewer. "To beat me you'll have to beat me". Awful.lol

  • Great schmoz to end the video.

  • i never liked that style of faceplate for that era of championship belts...

the color scheme is cool though....JCP!!!

  • I always thought that this style of belt or face plate looked like a Bud Beer Label.

  • lol...dig it..

the 79-82 Georgia belt was cool ..i like that one..

  • I really wouldn't want to piss off Harley Race. Not even today. And I've thought this long before I ehard everyone talk about how legitimately tough this guy is out of the ring.

  • @stevedrums Ric Flair once said if he could pick 5 guys to put in a room and fight their way out it would be Harley Race, Dick Slater, Blackjack Mulligan,Wahoo McDaniel and Mad Dog Vachon..Flair said in their prime they were legitimate bad asses...

  • Gordon Solie simply was the'BEST' everybody else took a back seat gordon knew every move there was and as the Nature Boy put it Gordon Solie it was my pleasure and god rest the soul of Gordon Solie

  • @MrMusicisme I couldn't agree with you more! Unlike today's WWE's so-called "hosts/commentators," Gordon Solie DID JUST THAT, he HOSTED and COMMENTATED! He DIDN'T or NEVER turn(ed) wrestling into "stand-up (comedy)."

  • @MrMusicisme The story Gordon told about Race is true. Race was a heel but Gordon refused to be a mark. He announced as if he were Howard Cosell calling action as real as the Thrilla in Manilla.

  • This past 8 and a half minutes is more exciting than the last 8 and a half years of WWE.

  • You sure won't get no argumnts out of me! The past few years have REALLY

been bad. TNA isn't any better IMO. Its just trying to compete w/Vince.

  • Right on. Right on.

  • LOL! Your right. Wasn't paying attention to the year I typed. Will correct it . Thanks

  • You mean 1982. You can just tell old Race was a tough SOB.
