Such a beautiful machine...when I was little my mom and I would go to the steam engine shows held in Vista CA biannually; they have a gorgeous 300hp single cylinder Corliss there. Really hope you guys get this one up and running, I love seeing history preserved like that.
@mathuetax The Fishkill is currently "resting" at the NYSEA grounds. There has been a lot of work done to it. Linkages freed up, pistons removed, parts cleaned and repaired. Currently they are drafting and discussing plans for a base to land the engine on and a building for it. Thanks for asking, hope to have more news some day.
Very neat, I operate a 380 HP corliss built by Twin City Iron Works in 1904 for the Villuame Box and Lumber Co. It was their primary source of electricity until 1958 when the company moved locations due to rising waters along the river. The engine was discovered in 1970 and moved to Rollag Minnesota and was up and running in 1971 and is ran usually twice a year for the Western Minnesota Steam Thrashers Reunion every labor day weekend, and again in the spring for our steam school.

Its great to know that this engine will be preserved even though it looks too far gone.
