If the spider was solid black then it wasnt a baby black widow. Theres another spider that looks like the black widow with no markings or hour glass. Its a mimicker of the black widow & smaller. Baby BW's have white lines on the back when they first catch. When they r the size in the vid the stripes are a tan/brown color & the hour glass is burnt orange. The males stay that way but females continue to grow & the markings turn darker. The males have little round nubs on feelers instead of fangs.

There has been no death to black widows in 10 years....if you get to the hospital you will be fine...its those who don't have medical care that are at serious risk...But besides that I had a baby black widow crawling on me till i realized it...there bite is dangerous but if you give them no reason they will not have to use self defense...beautiful spiders btw

my friend got bitten by one and it left a black mark on his face. he never went to the doctor and it went away in about a week.

my mom is a nurse and she told me many times black widow poison is not all that dangerous, unless you're allergic to it

That isn't a mosquito though. It's a mosquito hawk, which gets its name from its resemblance as an oversized mosquito. They actually eat mosquitos.

Black Widow spiders are not nearly as dangerous as everyone makes them out to be. Most of the confirmed death cases from a Black Widow is from small children or the elderly.

And yes, a Brown Recluse is way worse in my opinion. A bite on your leg or arm from one of them can cause a tennis ball sized or bigger hole. Pretty painful :X
