I liked what you did but I have a few constructive critisisms on the way you presented the Riddler. Your voice had the same tempo and rhythm as the Joker and the only thing you changed was the energy with it. It seems to me like this character may not be an exact replica of the Joker but close to it. Frankly, what's the point in creating a character we (the audience) has already seen before? To give the character justice, he has to have his own identity. Think about it. But overall you did great

to cut you off, the riddler, in originality, was intended to be modled after the joker, with more of a refined personality. The reason he sounds like the joker is beccause the most recent one we have to base our impression of the joker off of is Heath Ledgers, which was re-done by nolan to sound more sophisticated then he really was, so in actuality, hes doing it exactly how the Riddler should sound. Great Job

Joker's voice is all over the place while Riddler's should be more calm and chilling. I think he got it right. All the Nolan villains have dark and mysterious voices. Why should the Riddler be any different?

I love this video btw. I'm just dying for Nolan to reinvent Riddler into something more scary then what we've seen before. This character deserves a dramatic makeover like the Joker got. If done right, he can be a memorable villain with chilling lines. Here's hoping Nolan and co. decide on Riddler (also Catwoman would be awesome too)!

i had an idea for how the riddler could be portrayed... he was one of the cops (detective) who became a fake batman. when his idol was believed to be a killer, he became corrupt, bent on proving batmans innocence in any way possible. He begins to kill cops, leaving clues that link his murders to batmans, attempting to prove batmans innocence. He then creates the Riddler persona, as a sort of split personality, albeit one that he agrees with. [[continue on another comment]].

Eventually Batman confronts him and Edwards dreams are shattered, his idol is now his enemy, and all remenants of Edwards sanity are destroyed. Edward becomes the Riddler in a more permanent fashion and begins tormenting his former hero (with a little background info provided [forcefully] by the late Mr Reese from TDK, ie Riddler kills Reese). He begins a psychological war with Batman/ Bruce Wayne, tormenting him with things like the loss of his parents and Rachel, etc.

Try this for a plot-

Batman is on the run and the police are looking for him. Edward Nigma is a private detective (or detective in the Major Crime Unit) who is the leader for finding Batman (and also the Mob's inside man into the investigation).

Nigma as the Riddler unites the Mob and attempts to lure Batman into capture by leaving him strange Riddles (This is also his plan for ligitimately catching him).

Its only a semi-plot, but the Riddler plays well with the psyche of the Nolan feel

My money's on Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman. Penguin perhaps as the gentleman criminal genius who brings the underwold together again, Riddler's silent partner and perhaps the one who introduces Selina Kyle (Catwoman) to Bruce Wayne at the Iceberg Lounge. Catwoman tries to turn the Bat into a true vigilante while Riddler poses the Bat as a true criminal. While Batman is caught between those two, the Penguin's reign of crime strikes the city. How does that sound?

I stuck with "Longest Halloween" formula with someone hiring Riddler to catch a killer- in this case batman. The potential for the 3rd film is to flip the idea of what it means to be hero upside down; challenge the audience to question the idea. Thanks again.

you know what? I actually liked this...these fan prediction trailer are usually cringe-worthy and completely corny and idiotic. One thing though, I hope you werent implying mike engle is the riddler...that would destroy the coolness of this trailer. Edward Nashton will be a new charactor not Engle recycled.

I'm both terrified and excited when it comes to how the OCD will be handled. I was diagnosed over a year ago with it and I'd love to see a portrayal that isn't in the realm of Monk. But I'm alittle nervous about Nolan doing it. This portrayal of mental patients have been handled either very well (Harvey Dent) or extremely stereotypically (the Joker) and I don't know if he would be able to do it and not make it either so unnoticeable that you wouldn't know or so blatantly typecasted.

Nothing set in stone quite yet. Anthony Michael Hall was also rumored to be the riddler, which is why some say he was casted in Dark Knight. We'll just have to wait and see.

The Riddler would make sense as a 'front man' for someone else; not just some random character after Batman. The real challenge for batman: how do you stop someone without losing the villain persona meant to protect Harvey Dent? Food for thought. Thanks again.
