has anyone heard of lackeen castle in tipperary there is so many stories about that castle i want to experience something myself can anyone give me any tipps on increasing my chances of seeing or hearing anything
We call them the " slua sidhe" the translation fairy is a very poor one.Its imposing an English word and concept on a totally different idea of a being otherworldly.
Ireland is steeped in paranormal activity. I lived in a house in Dublin that was haunted....I leased it for a year and the experiences I had were very scary!! I had two small children (a single parent), Not alone did I myself experience some really scary stuff, my oldest daughter (aged 6 then) also experienced it. I later found out that the previous tenant had similar experiences! It's not just castles in Ireland that are haunted.
These druids remind me of South Indian holy men called "Siddhars". The Siddhars are believed to possess magical powers, perpetual life and the ability to transform themselves into any object or being they chose too. They, usually, make their appearance known to a chosen individual, in most cases an extremely pious Hindu. Druids are vilified here but I guess they were not actually so bad as they had been made out to. Vilification of druids, was possibly, a part of the christianization of the uk.
lol my nan was irish and i remember when i was like 5 a ring of mushrooms grew in the garden, and until it dissapeard i wasnt aloud to play in the back garden cos of the fairys.... youve got to love the way the irish kept alot of the celtic culter/ mystysisum with them lol shame us brits and alot of other coltlures have lost that part of us....
I remember watching this all the time when it was on TV. Totally miss this show. I watched this, Castle ghost of England and Scotland. All pretty cool ghost shows.
every time l watch something that has to deal with ghosts l get so angry why is that? l mean about that beheaded lady how can l give her, her head back there is no way... how do l let it go or get over it???
@OutlawRebel117 They must have extra special supe powers! Palm trees ,live in weather in the 70s and 80s and above, not the icy chill that surrounds Ireland 99 percent of the time!
I'm from Ireland- when I was very young, maybe 4 yrs old, I would wake up most nights and immediately try to get into my parents bed before the nightly appearance of these ghost type things in long cloaks and hoods that would come in through the door. They would gather around the bed and look down at me for a while before slowly walking, in line, through a wall. I would be terrified and wide awake. I only found out a few yrs ago that my brother saw the same things.
i live in clonegal across from huntington castle and myself and a friend were walking through one night and seen one of the druids i never knew what it actually was until i watched this video!!
I remember watching this years ago on TV. Now they don't show it. I used to rent this from the library, now they don't have it. Thank you so much for having this. Brings back memories.
@marklosextremus - What has liking or interest have to do with colour? All cultures have remarkable significance; it does'nt matter if its black or white...
@alphadelta12121979 well the fact you like it so much and the fact is is white proves that white culture is the most interesting in the world? Simple. You cant deny whites dont have any culture so why deny liking it?
World is a very small place so people speak each other's language and share each other's culture. It is true that these cultures have originated from separate lands but it would be pitiful to categorize these cultures in white and black.
It is the heart of a living human which can be categorized as black or white; after death, it is the soul which is either black or white. May be thats the reason why ghosts dwell.
@alphadelta12121979 Agreed, and I applaud you on your "discussion" about racial culture on this other fella. You are correct, color does not matter, history is history.
@alphadelta12121979 Most very likely you've had one or more past life experiences there. if you feel lured toward something for no "logical" reason, it's usually because it's familiar to you, which creates a sense of longing, or missing something.

@TheSkylur44 I honestly have no idea on that.....Maybe the faeries maintain them
