The representative clearly doesn't want to discuss firearms with anyone especially anyone who opposes her stand. Still her sponsoring that bill is illegal/unconstitutional. If their is supposed to be a constitutional ratification -a change-then at least 36 states must agree to it and one representative does not 36 states make!

I suspect this society is more dangerous then it was when the constitution was written. You have armed gangs running around numbering in 1000s and the cops fail to get them off the streets even for short period of time. The imbecile fails to understand that. I wish that were true. But gun control only removes guns from law abiding citizens, not criminals. Criminals don't follow the law, only law abiding people do. As such, you only disarm the people and make them easy targets. All these mass shootings happen because the gunmen know the people they are shooting are unarmed.

If we could take all the guns away, great. But it's just not a reality. And because of that, if you outlaw it you only leave people unable to defend themselves.
