Hey all, sorry for not commenting. I've taken a break from wow. Anyways. This vid is really old...so if you're still posting about dps and strats...well....i can't do anything about that. sry i have to say that you play wrong in some way .....

1st : the rotation with the glyph witch let pestilence reset the plagues is better for dps

2nd : i cant see your sigil but the item lvl 213 is better with higher arp

3rd : the fallen crusader rune has to be on offhand ... simply because if bosses parry your offhand still hits and you have a chance to procc fallen crusader ..

I think you shuld use Frost Strike for every singe KM proc even though you had Rime Rime + KT shuld only be used on Multi target/AoE but that's just my opinion maybe that is fit for you ;)

It's looking pretty good though :). You definately need rune of the razorice. My frost strike crits are almost as high as my obliterates. As for glyphs: go for Obliterate (ofcourse :)). My personal preferrence is to add Frost strike and Disease glyphs as well, while others prefer to have Glyph of Icy Touch (or sometimes even HB). It's all about your personal playstyle.

the rotation i use for my DW frost Dk is IT PS OB BS BS FS as many as you can OB OB then RP burn and HB on rime proc (obviously) and with this i out dps any Dks with my GS

Some advice dont put Blood plague its a dps loss.

I don't want to be rude, but please don't post this unless you actually have sufficient information to back up your opinion.

There are many reasons why using both blood plague is a good idea.

1) Obliterate and blood plague gain a bonus per disease (so why not use both diseases?)

2) Disease dots are 4-5% of my dps each. why not use it?

3) What do you use your unholy runes for if you want to activate your tier 10 4 piece?

I would love to hear what you think, you sound like you know more.

Ok During the roation just when the disease dots are about to drops you should get a rime proc just in time and using the Hb Gylph it will pop Ff back on your target which means you can use all your runes for Obl etc. And if u dont get a rime proc in time you just just restartthe rotation.

thats bullshit srry! If u want to "save" runes for OB use the glyphe disease which resets all diseases on the target. HB is a huge dps loss especially in single target fights. A KM procc should never be used in combination with rime, just dump ur RP with FS! HB sucks!

tbh go check out Hartayke's Vids Probably one of th best DW Dk's. And HB Sucks Its probably your hardest hitting move, when i was frost it would hit for around 9-10k in a single target fight so now tell me how that is bad?

its obviously OB...froststrike is always to be used if KM + Rime proccs in single target fights and it hits for 10-11k and thats by far more than HB nowadays

@peter9style Thing is that doesn't refresh Icy Talons, however it will in the next patch (3.3.3) meaning a very nice upgrade to our DPS, and we're also getting 20% additional attack speed on our autoattacks! :D

Indeed. Add to that faster attack speed equals more KM procs. I like how this is turning out. Also more Obliterate means more Rime :)

There is no real rotation for first besides applying your diseases, using obliterate and then frost striking to dump your runic power. it's merely situational and depends on what you think works best.

So you've found armor pen to be a bigger dos increase than str gems? Is there certain criteria that needs to be filled before you'd suggest stacking armor pen? I dont know where to find info on the subject :p

I wouldn't say Armor Pen is a bigger increase over str gems, honestly, it's a matter of preference - if you feel you benefit more from str then do it - It may also depend on gear - but I heard from hunters and wars that they need 800 armor pen on their gear alone to hit the hard cap with gems. But once again - it's a preference, i'm definitely going to gem full ArP and try it out when i get the gear i want. As for now, i do a mix. I don't know any sites that have info either

From what I know about blood -- (obviously I don't know much since i'm Frost) but when you start getting the ILvL 264 gear from ICC - I hear you should be Gemming full ARP. but I don't know personally - I'd just read EJ

I don't have a very good answer for you. My gems fit my preference for how I want to play and align my stats - It's just up to the player whether they want to do 20 str or 20 arp or whatever. It's just the way I gem. I don't expect that it's the best way, but it's how I like it righ tnow

Yeah! at the end of my Festergut video i get a 25k crit :D it's definitely very fun to watch getting such high crits. I think the highest i've gotten is around 27k, (without mechanic buffs like twin valks etc...) I've also gotten many upgrades so i'm sure it can be much more nowadays.

how u have 33% crit w/o blood subspec is beyond me prolly b/c ur stacking str crit but wouldn't it be better to just stack armor pen and go for blood 5% crit but with that spec i can see that u will be a little short on runic power if u don't have a druid hotting u b/c of the lack fo the 20% shadow dmg coming out every melee hit post back w/ ur opinion b/c a dk on my server stacks armor pen and he does amazing dps w/ 82% reduction his oblits are hitting for huge amounts

for now, I don't have the gear to gem full ArP, maybe in the near future. The reason I don't go blood subspec is 2 reasons, 1) virulence (i like the spell hit) and 2) epidemic - I feel like just having epidemic is reason enough to go unholy subspec, because it gives me a whole rune rotation and RP dump before I even have to refresh diseases. And honestly, DK's don't really need the 5% crit in blood once you get geared enough. Although I can see how Bladed Armor would be appealing.

As for the druid hotting/ priest shielding etc... (I usually don't need it. I find that I am rarely out of RP, and if I am it's usually just at the beginning of the fight) I try to stray away from being dependant on other class abilities, because there are always times where you won't have them...and then there will be no excuse for low dps :D. Btw, 5.6k dps is not completely correct, with the talent "Merciless Combat", wich makes you do 12% more dmg on targets with less then 35% health. Just a quick sidenote. gr8 movie. I'll test frost out for sure.

You can always go into subversion instead of BCB, but that's up to you. I usually just have 1 point in it for heroics and some tanks that I pull off of too fast. But the MT in my guild is good enough so I wouldn't need it.

Just wondering are you using the 245 sigil or the old 213 oblit sigil? After i was told the 213 was better i thought they were wrong but recently i tried it and and i get about 5-800 more dps from the 213. Jw maybe youd like to test as well XD.

UH is flavor of the month (supposedly best spec of the 3 until you have enough armor pen for blood)

Frost is usually only needed if you don't have an enh shaman.

Hi reqbot, i was playing dual wield frost, since patch 3.2 till patch 3.3. In my opinion you got some mistakes in your rotation. how about using rime proc instant and not wait for a killing machine proc? Of course this only for single target dps. The reason ist that your froststrike will hit harder as your howling blast on single target. With lots of mobs arround you still have to wait for a killing machine proc of course. greets: Gilni

In my set up, howling blast with KM procs hit a little less than my FS with KM procs, unless it's an AOE type fight, in which my rotation is a little different. - Also my spec/playstyle at the moment is an obliterate priority, so I focus my rotations around obliterate.

sorry, misread - I use rime procs when i feel i have time to sacrifice the GCD. If i mess up my GCD timing, than my whole playstyle rotation get's scattered.

I'm playing frost dk cos we dont have an enhance shaman, but i'm finding it depressing being bottom of the dps meter and i'm wondering how far off i am. Thanks :)

i'd say using 4piece T9, and double hellscream slicers from ToC 25 - I was doing around 4.8-5k dps on the dummy. so you're not too far from the mark, just make sure you're hit capped and expertise capped - although for frost i try to go a little above hit cap.

agreed with berzz. excelent vid, best dps ive seen on a frost dw dk. one question i have tho. ik u have 2 heavy axes, but do u think a faster offhand would make a huge difference?

For rogues yes - due to their offhand mainly for proc'ing poisons, however for DK's and Enh Shamans alike - 2 heavy (slow) 1handers work better because our skills account for our offhand weapon dmg, which in the end is more dps than having a faster weapon that has lower dmg.

Well as everyone always says, Frost is priority rotation, so yeah, I start off with the typical IT,PS, BS,BS,OBLIT - then do 3 oblits, and a rune dump with FS, then restart the process because diseases have fallen off by then or are about to.
