  • well done man!! :-) i also tried to cover this song, and i would really appreciate a comment of yours! Take care

    Matt

  • Excellent job Colm, well done!

  • do you have the tab of this song ?

  • Sorry I don't have any tab for this tune. But if you read some of the comments below yoiu might find a link

  • just another thing, I'm trying to find authentic tab or music notation, but I'm having trouble finding it, where do you get your Jorgenson music from?

  • I think I have some tab for this , it was in a mag a while ago , I'll see if I can find it and let you know.

  • ok, that would be the best. I'd appreciate it a lot. I can't find his music anywhere.

  • John Jorgenson is the king. I started learning this song today. How long did it take you to get it down like you did?

  • Thanks for the comment. It took me a while to learn because it was the first tune I tried to learn in this style. I came from mostly playing a telecaster to this ! But it is well worth the effort , it is the most fantastic style of guitar playing.

  • I agree. I used to dislike acoustic playing mostly, unless it was an intricate piece like Spanish classical or just classical, but Gypsy jazz, as some call it, is really hearty, lively, and intelligent. It's certainly more than just your standard typical progressions.

  • label on the video's ruin's the look and feel of wonderful playing by you colm and no i still wasnt pretending to be you. hope you are well and i still hope i will hear you again with sean at a gig and maybe bracken c hotel might have a big bash whenever it reopens. keep up the great stuff. kevin.

  • brilliant

  • well I have the music now and am learning this great piece now. Also am after the John Jorgenson Tuxedo Guitar to add to the guitar collection.

All my favourite youtube videos have 4 stars-my theory is the majority of people rate 5 and a few green eyed people vote 1's to make themselves feel batter!

    Cheer again

    Matt

  • Absolutely fabulous!!

I am a massive Django fan and looking for a gypsy jazz guitar soon. you do the guitar really proud!

This has gone straight to favourites!

    Matt

  • very good man, great, a love the songs of him!

can you upload the Backing track?

  • Very nice Colm. 5 stars from me. Inspiring. Where do you get these small sound hole guitars with big saddles?

  • Hi, thanks for the comment. The guitar I am using is a Saga Gitane John Jorgenson model DG-300. I got mine from the net at hobgoblin in the uk. It sounds great (in real life:-)) and feels great. Colm

But I think its still too hard for me... anyway, nice playing!

  • Thanks for the comment. It's a bit tricky allright, but practice makes good, especially with this one!!!

  • wow, that's absolutely awesome. and cool, you're from ireland!! are you playing live somewhere? i'd love to see that stuff live! keep it up!

  • I'd give my soul, my left kidny, my right testicle, my human dignity, ability to taste anything sweet simply to be able to play that one song that way... my god, watching that was like have an orgasam on e.

  • LMFAO:-) Don't be holding back on those comments!Comments like that make all the hard work and practise worthwhile. Thanks a million.Colm

  • were you able to find a sheet music book for john jorgenson?

  • John has 2 Books on gypsy playing each comes with a dvd. I have been playing this style a short time and the books and dvd's are great. This tune was tabed out in a mag some time ago, I think it was Acoustic Guitar mag and it was the first tune I learned.

  • very nice play, although i like electric guitars more, this was so properly and clean played, wow!

just 1 or 2 slides weren't that exacly, but that doesn't matter ;)
