  • Nah SuperBowl 42 was the biggest upset. An undefeated team vs a team that wasn't suppose to be there. This is the 2nd best. Giants ALL DAY!!

  • @BklynBoi100 Loved both games. I agree that it was up there as perhaps the greatest "upset". Jets over the Colts, and even the Patriots over the Rams were too big upsets in Super Bowl history. This Giants over the Patriots may be the biggest because nobody gave them a chance except Giants fans. But honestly that game was a 7-3 not much doing game until the 4th Quarter. I think the "best" Super Bowl in terms of a complete start to finish game was the Giants and Bills in Super Bowl XXV.

  • @TRChamp08 that's true I just liked seeing New Englands hopes get crushed by a Giant loss

  • @TRChamp08 Superbowl 46 gave me 34 heartattacks but not as much as the 49ers giants game this season did lol or the packers game of 07

  • @TheDFB71 Yeah, I agree. I felt that the Giants would come back in SB 46, even when they fell behind 17-9. But my blood pressure was high especially when the ball was headed towards Welker. Thank god he dropped it; Branch as well on the next play. That gave us 2 free timeouts too, after we wasted 2. I do agree that the SF game was extremely intense. Every play and every touch of the ball made me nervous. I knew in OT that it was going to come down to who makes the 1st mistake will lose

  • @TRChamp08 lol i remember watching the steelers broncos game then seeing the giants go into overtime i was liek "no" lol dont let tht happen here haha but its all in the past now and we not only won tht game but the superbowl as well heres hoping to another succesful season this september

  • @TheDFB71 Cheers to that! Curious of your opinion; How would you rank the Giants-49ers Championship game from this year, when thinking of all of the classic Giants wins in their playoff history ever since, let's say 1981. The Giants vs. 49ers in 1990 NFC Championship, against the Bills in SB 25, beating the Packers in 2007 in OT, SB 42 against the Patriots, and the latest in SB 46 were all great games. There's more too. But I'm curious where you rank the SF Championship game from this year?

  • @TRChamp08 god thats a good question because msot of these teams put of amazing games id say the history and blood between the giants and the pats made this superbowl amazing but then again watching strahan and the rookie and all the other great D players pound Brady was awesome to watch in 42 but then again i almost had a heartattack watching the Bills kicker kick the ball in SB 25 and that 07 PAckers Giants game Jesus Christ haha

  • @TRChamp08 I'd say they're all ranked in my top 10 but I've never really thought about which one was best in least to greatest lol takes to long if you ask me when it comes to those games but i will say this watching these playoff games from this season and SB 42 season i felt like it was 20-30 yrs ago again haha

  • @TheDFB71 True! They are difficult to rank. It would take time to think about it. That Green Bay game in 07 was definitely one that caused heart attacks. Thank god they had Brett Favre. I remember in OT and thinking to myself, that as good as Brett Favre is, he is known to try forcing balls in to coverage, and throwing costly interceptions. And he did! After Tynes missed 2 easier FGs, he makes the longest one. What a game! This year's 49ers game was awefully heartstopping too!

  • That was more of a "despiration" kick. If they had more time, they wouldn't have gone after the kick with 47 freakin' yards.

  • Jim Kelly and the Bills didn't set the ball in the middle of the field and they had time to do so. Norwood had to kick off of the right hash

  • I wonder if #99 put that video on you tube.

  • Geez, Buffalo never got out of bounds ONCE during the two minute drill. And all they needed was ONE more play to get to the middle of the field for Norwood...l

  • WIDE RIGHT! LACES OUT DAN!

  • Is that Tom Coughlin at 6:05

  • @mathhattan I don't think so. It's hard to really tell, but it's definitely Coughlin @11:56.

  • @mathhattan yes it is! coughlin was the wide receivers coach for the giants 1990 season

  • @liwtumrn4 ironically bill bellicheck was the defensive coordinator for the giants too

  • @mathhattan Possible wasn't he the assistant coach for the giants during this?

  • 8:23 what's wrong with jeff hostetler? his team is celebrating while he just sits there frozen

  • @neilrtucker11 Hostetler later said that he wanted to take it all in. It's hard to see because of the degraded video quality, but he smiles after he surveys his teammates on the field celebrating.

  • @rusty1491 ive watched it all thankyou mate. im a bears fan and have seen every superbowl since 85 but this in my mind is no question the greatest ever played. that slow mo shot of everson walls with sinatra singing has been burned into my memory ever since i saw it live.

  • Still what I consider the greatest Super Bowl game of all time, with XLII a very close second...regardless of my being a Giants fan. ;-)

  • @Fugettaboutit

This is the greatest Super Bowl of all time, no question. But 2nd is Steelers and Cardinals in XLIII.

  • @SuperTugz I totally agree. The Patriots/Rams, Packers/Broncos, Rams/Titans, Patriots/Panthers, Bengals/49ers (SB 16 and SB23), Steelers/Cowboys (SB13 and SB 30), Giants/Patriots (SB 42 and 46) were all good runner ups. But the Steelers Cardinals was an outstanding game played by both teams, that had a terrific finish to the game. However, Super Bowl 25 still remains as the greatest Super Bowl ever!

  • Boy I Love Losing Superbowls

  • @PainStation3 stfu so fn old fag

  • All together now the 4 TIME 4TIME 4 TIME 4 TIME SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS !! "NEVER SAY DIE" NY FOOTBALL GIANTS

  • @dogofwar92 1986-87, 1990-91, 2007-08, & 2011-12!!!! 4 TIME Super Bowl Champion NY Giants!! :-D :-D

  • @ckendall67 history repeated itself, beating the Niners in the Championship games in SF and winning the Superbowl. 1991-2011

  • No body circles the wagons more. Then the buffalo bills

  • Who the hell was that guy holding hands with Leavy who had his pants pulled up too high and a sweater nicely tied around his neck? He is so out of place on a football field. They deservred to lose just for allowing that guy to stand on the sidelines.

  • Best.....Super Bowl..... Ever......

  • lmao at deoisi with the camcorder

  • Having that much trouble kicking from 40+ yards is almost unheard of with kickers today.

  • "the super bowl comes down to the final game" musberger you had it 21 years ago and you got it now man

  • @bpmar2 It's funny, because you're the only person in the past 21 years that I've heard mention of Musberger's blunder. And I've talked about this Super Bowl with hundreds of Giants fans. I've noticed his blunder each and every time that I watch Super Bowl XXV (at least 10 to 15 times). Obviously he meant to say...Wonderful drama; Super Bowl comes down to the final "seconds". We all know that it's the final game..LOL Although even back then, the Pro-Bowl was the week after the Super Bowl.

  • Norwood gets a bad rap from everyone. That was a very tough fg to make.

  • For about a half a second, it almost looks like Norwood's kick is going to go through. Chilling.

  • Norwood can hold his head high.

    Gods will prevails always.

  • I blame Levy for the loss.

  • I was 9 years old in my living room with my dad praying that Norwood's kick would go wide. I'll never forget that sheer exuberance of knowing that my NY Giants had won the Super Bowl!

I still have this on VHS somewhere

  • 47 yarders, back then, were not made with the regularity they are today. Most kickers are about 80% from 40-49 yards these days.

Great moment in Giants history! Great memories for me!

  • Kick never had a shot. Should have been in the middle.

  • I bet no one realizes this but both Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin were a part of this New York Giants win.

Bill Belichick was the defensive coach while Coughlin was the wide receivers coach.

In 2 weeks, they are about to face each other for the 2nd time in a Super Bowl.

  • @ShiningWonder Actually, a lot of Giants fans (like myself) who were a fan of this team do know that. Romeo Crenell was also a part of this coaching staff

  • Watch Norwood closely before the ball is snapped. You can see the look on his face, he knows this is by far the biggest moment of his career, of his life. And you can see the fear is getting to him. He looks so uncomfortable. In sports its all about shutting out the fear during those moments, some guys can do it, some guys can't. Nothing against Norwood, he was a fine kicker, but when it came down to it he couldn't execute in the big moment.

  • To listen to some people talk about Norwood, you would think he had a 60 yard range, but missed a 31 yard kick, dead centre, in a dome on artificial turf. He had a poor record on turf, he had a poor record outdoors and his range was a bit below average. Therefore him missing a 47 yarder, outside and on grass should not be that surprising and it certainly should not be down to him choking or bottling it.

  • Never realized norwood was 1/5 career from 40+ in grass. Looked like the Bills wasted time by not going out of bounce.

  • Wait, you mean they did that long before it was called Tebowing?? Gee, what a surprise!!

  • LACES OUT! LACES OUT!

  • There have been some great SB . NY-NE, STL-NE,TEN-STL,PIT-ARI,NE-CAR but the NY-SF CG was as good as any SB. The Bills Cowboys 2. Bills up at the half 13-6. They had a shot then TT fumbled to start the 2nd half. They never recovered from that.

  • The best part of this hearing "New York, New York" play in the background during the highlights

  • Thumbs up for Musburger's amazing glasses.

  • To Norwood's credit, he did kick the winning field goal in the AFC Championship the next year to give the Bills another shot.

  • @rusty1491 Um not exactly. While he did kick a field goal that game I would not call it a 'game winner'. Buffalo lead 10-0 that game and the Broncos scored a late TD to cut the deficit to 10-7. And that was the final. It's not like it was 7-7 and he kicked the late winning feld goal. Nice try though.

  • @MrRockjock13 No; making good points to validate why Super Bowl XXV is the BEST Super Bowl ever is not reading into it too much. If I were to get as many or more good reasons why the Patriots-Giants, Rams-Titans, Patriots-Panthers, Steelers-Cardinals, Steelers-Cowboys (SB 13 or SB 30), Bengals-49ers (SB 16 or SB23), or Packers-Broncos were better than this Super Bowl XXV, I would be interested in seeing them. Besides it's fun to talk about great games rather than blowouts Wouldn't you agree?

  • @rusty1491 lie any one remebers that.

  • @rusty1491, I gotta say, I was like 8 but I still remember my dad saying all year even before this happened "that kicker has to go!" I guess they should have listened...

  • @rusty1491 yea the bills had 4 shots in a row and blew all of them so if any bills fan is bitter at scott norwood they are just stupid cuz the team just couldnt do it

  • @rusty1491 plus that was a 47 yarder.. not easy to make

  • best super bowl of all time

  • @morrieswigs I agree. A pair of 13-3 teams. Two teams who's uniform colors both happened to be Red, White and Blue during the war, battle of NY, best offense against the best defense, no turnovers, 4 lead changes, slimmest margin of victory ever in a Super Bowl (1 Pt.), coming down to the final seconds in perhaps the most dramatic ending ever in a Super Bowl, National Anthem.....As much as I loved the Giants final drive against the Patriots to win it in 2007, Super Bowl XXV was the best!

  • Bad hold by Reich. Norwood kicked the laces.

  • Is it me or was All Micheals there for everything

  • God I remember watchin this like like it was yesterday! No 1 will ever 4 get that kick.

  • As a Giant fan this brings chills. Looking back at the Parcells/Bellichick era w that D man I can't believe we only got 2 rings during that era. At the end when they say great defense always beats great offense (which was always true) doesn't really apply in today's game. This steroid era of offense (comparing to baseball) makes 35 points in a game seem like 7 used to.

  • @49RonGuidry I agree, although the NFC was tough back then, particularly the S.F. 49ers and the Washington Redskins stood in their way of more championships. The problem with today's game is that so many people want "Points", the 45-38 type of score. The 15-13 score in the Giants vs. 49ers 1990 NFC Championship game would be considered by many today to be "boring", right? That was classic championship defenses back then. But rules today are designed to help offenses rack up more points.

  • "NOBODY Chokes at Super Bowls like the Buffalo Bills"

0-4 at the big one!!! :)

    - Chris Berman, Host, ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown

  • @AK47Music I don't know. I'm a Giants fan, and of course forever glad for the missed FG that gave us the Super Bowl XXV Championship; The 1st of Buffalo's 4 straight losses in the Super Bowl. In fairness to the Bills, the Giants were a tough team, the Redskins were the dominint team in 1991, and the Cowboys were dominant in both 1992 and 1993. That's 4 straight very formidable opponents that they had to play. Any team that can make it to the Super Bowl 4 straight years deserves some credit.

  • @TRChamp08 Great point. I think this was their most winnable Super Bowl. They had a chance versus Dallas the second time but Thurman Thomas gave the game away.

  • @AK47Music Nobody chokes like Buffalo TEAMS, period. The Sabres have also had plenty of almost-hads.

  • @AK47Music nobody losses better to the steelers like your seattle seahags!

  • @menard98 DUDE, I am by no means a Sea-Chicken fan, I have been a Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders fan since 1982, myself being a native of L.A. before moving up here to the Northwest in 1987.

As for the Sea-Chickens, I could give two shits and a fuck about them, although they did get screwed by biased officiating in Super Bowl XL, but I have bled Silver And Black since they moved from Oakland to L.A. after the Rams ditched us for rival Orange County in 1980.

R.I.P. Al Davis and GO RAIDERS!!!

  • @AK47Music I can respect a Raiders fan but not the seahags!

  • four best words in giants history as said by al michaels: "NO GOOD!!! WIDE RIGHT!!!!"

  • Everson Walls tackle was huge!!

  • YEAH BIG BLUE!!! However I do feel really bad that Marv Levy and Jim Kelly never got to taste glory.

  • @punkdrummah that sucks
