  • @Larisiahott lol!

  • i use 100% organic coconut oil on my hair as a light styling creme and my hair is amazing i love it i just wish i found out years ago rather than use processed styling products

  • Yeah, most indian women have gorgeous hair...

  • im indian and remember having my mom do this to me once every 2 to 3 weeks. im 16 my hair is super thick grows very fast.

  • @kashifbilgrami im arab and my mother too oiled my hair all the time - it was thick :P then i became a teenager n stopped - i have thin hair now :(

  • This is true. Starting when I was around 11 my mom would buy virgin coconut oil for the hairdresser to apply to my scalp with a cotton ball once a week or every 2 weeks. It would be rinsed off with an antidandruff shampoo (or any shampoo) & usual conditioner. For years of being on coconut oil I was dandruff-free & my hair was always thick & shiny. I stopped when I was in college..my dandruff came back & my hair is now limp & seriously thinning. I'm planning to be on it again.

  • what do you wash it out with, shampoo, conditioner or just water?

  • yeah ask the dam bald man if coconut oil helps hair growth??? duhhh

  • @Vicatiti65 and @emmashur12 did your parents "rinse it out in a few minutes" like this guy said, or leave it on? I put a little in my daughter's hair, but I leave it in.

  • Am I the only one who thinks the beginning graphic reminds them of someone taking a dump?

  • @birdbath318 LOL

  • I have been using coconut oil since i was a kid..my hair is always healthy and shiny and never had a dead ends. In the philippines my grandmother always make oil by herself, speaking of organic!! There are lots of coconut oil in the market, make sure to buy the unbleached, unrefined oil. If the oil is white, then it its unrefined or unbleached, natural organic coconut oil has a little bit of brown color into it, and you can really smell the aroma of coconut.

  • Can it be any kind of coconut oil???

  • @KOFRANI You need to get good coconut oil. I would stay away from beauty supply stores. I use Whole Foods Organic, Unrefined Expeller Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil. I love it. I'm African American with natural hair.

  • @KOFRANI NO NO NO!!!! ONLY USE EXTRA VIRGIN ORGANIC, COLD PRESSED UNREFINED SOLD AT WHOLE FOODS, HEALTH FOOD STORES.

  • @emp2255 thanx :)

  • i use jojoba oil on my hair and my acne prone face.

Only certian oils can couse breakouts on the skin, but the oil im using (jojoba) oil is good for the acne skin, and i also use it for my hair. ( wash my hair, the use coditioner with 1 tbsp of jojoba oil and wash it in, leave it in for a few minutes) or you could add after you wash it (1tbsp if you have long hair). leave you hair slightly wet, half of your hair. coconut oil, i dont know if it helps provent acne like jojoba oil does

  • i didnt know they gave out rings at the holocaust

  • My mother who is filipino put coconut oil in my hair when I was 5, my hair when I was 7 went down to my ass!

  • Wow! I have a lil pack of coconut oil I wanted to use for my hair, and I came on youtube to look for vids on how to use it, and I come up with this vid about Dr. Fife...and when I look at the package...It has his face on it! xD Dr. Fife's Extra Virgin Coconut Oil...Win!

  • can u also leave it in instead of rinsing

  • @onl31hon3y you can leave it in if your hair is dry but if it's naturally oily you're just gonna look like a wet dog :)

  • @Muxxyy just use tiny amounts if you hair is short (1tbs), just do half your hair, not all the way to your scalp. I have 2 feet of hair, i use 1 tbsp of jojoba 1 1/2 months ^_^

  • woah indians are so smart

  • @alonda4256 Its used by the entire region of South Asia and not only India. Very few people in this subcontinent goes through balding.

  • @alonda4256 so many civilizations have used it before indians. that doesnt make them smart. eating too much rice tough might

  • Once you lose hair growth you can't get it back haha. You can thicken and strengthen what you have but you can't force hair growth where there was none in the first place

  • Don't sun bathe if you have coconut oil on your hair (the sun will fry your hair).

  • virgin coconut oil also a anti-virus it can be treated to HIV infected person and human papiloma virus it's all natural and safe there so many coconut in the Philippines and tropical country!

  • Great video. Thanks for clarifying. I am now headed to the store to get some organic extra virgin coconut oil! YAY!
