Andrew McCarthy was a cute guy and looks like a good guy but in Pretty In Pink, I will never forgive him for dumping Andy (Ringwald) right before Prom and breaking her heart. Unforgivable! I had it happen at my Prom, my boyfriend dumped me and he took some other (beep) instead and I went with a friend just to go for the experience anyways and show him I was not broken. But I was. I hated going because I had been dumped. Andy shoulda chosen Duckie. We all love Duckie, not Blaine

No offence to Charlie Sheen, but I could NEVER see him in the role of Blaine. He's not nearly as attractive, to me at least, as Andrew McCarthy is/was. Molly Ringwald had good taste :)

Andrew McCarthy was my ultimate teenage fantasy and is still incredibly magnetic and attractive, but I'm 41 now and watching Pretty in Pink makes me realise how short life is and how quickly it's over. I was 17 in '85 and had everything ahead of me, now I have so many things BEHIND me and my kids are starting out on THEIR journeys. The cycle goes on.

This is my fovourite 80's film. I just was nineteen on 1986. I can see this movie three or four times a day and I never get bored or tired about it ! I like Molly a lot, so sweet... Molly Ringwald was very smart to have known that girls would like Andrew. They were perfectly cast in that movie. Infact, the entire cast of the movie was perfect in their roles. Molly has a such a geniune sweetness about her. Andrew of course, is the sexist man alive.
