Thule is not greenland. Believe me. The US goverment will always gonna be there.... That kind of make me worried. Because maybe many people dont know, but Thule is the last bastion we want to remove. Why? Because it is our country and we dont want to comtribute to any military bases. It is easy if you try. Imagine that - I am not the only one. Get it?

Why not take a more positive approach on this angle?

The US has shown some interest in polar exploration for decades.

Keep in mind the exploits of Admiral Perry and his co-explorer, the famed Matthew Henson, of the earlier 20th Century, about 1904, or so.

I met decendents of Mr Henson during my ventures of 2-years in Thule and other points north in the 80's. Those were experiences I will never forget. vvideo

Who speaks for all the victims like her? 1/3 of our prisons are made up of illegal aliens now. I was stationed at Thule from 87-88 and the local AFRTS (Armed Forces Radio Television Service) went out of business that year. Apparently local TV was needed anymore since satellite technology enabled the broadcast of commercial TV stations from Detroit. While it was nice to see TV from the States, the sense of community that having a local AFRTS brought was lost, and only added to the feeling of isolation. Would love to see the earliest year productions. Thanks for sharing.
