matt technically may not be the best guitarist in the world although he has alot skills (check out the version of the small print live @ earls court for some shredding) but the reason people love matts playing and believe he is one of the best is because he is an innovater on the guitar there is no one else who plays like matt, the only one i can think of that comes close is tom morello but matt is like tom morello on roids or someshit, tom morello is a good guitarist but really a one trick pony
