I hate outtakes done this way. I don't know why but US outtakes are always really badly edited - the clips are too short to appreciate since any gaff is out of context, and there's always loud music over the top rather than the atmosphere on set. Same on Pirates of the Caribbean. Outtakes on UK productions are always done much better. No music, and the clips are long enough to appreciate the mistakes.

@MegaCasper88 checking the gate is some film term that if i remember correctly means that after the scene is shot, the camera is checked to make sure no debris or whatever was caught as the film goes through the gate that might have casted weird shadows and the like. if the gate is clean then the next shot can be taken. if not, then they have to reshoot.

a film buddy of mine explained it to me a while back. hope it helps!

It's called "Warrior", but it's not coming out until 2010 I think. They were filming in my area and I signed up. ^_^

"Check the gates" means that they're checking to see if the shot they just did was good so they can do another one. It was cause for us to rejoice because (1) it gave us a fairly long break to go to the bathroom or sneak off to find food and (2) it meant we wouldn't have to do whatever shot we were doing over again.

Ten hours of actual filming (which we were paid 100 dollars for), but we also had a bunch of hours where we sat around and just amused ourselves while they got ready (eating, reading, taking a nap). There's several hundred people so we always have someone to talk to.

I will >8D I convinced my dad to drive me to the Narrowhaven set, then all the way up to Cleveland Point where they were building The Dawn Treader. Even if I don't sign up as an extra, I can still go and watch them film there, since they're allowing spectators. ^_^

100 dollars for all ten hours. It got a bit boring, but we mostly just hung around, cheered when the director told us to, and amused ourselves otherwise (we were spectators in the fight scenes).

So far as I can tell, it's about a guy (played by Nick Nolte) who has two sons, both of which somehow get into mixed martial arts and fight in Atlantic City.

Oh yeah, there's also Koba the Russian, played by Kurt Angle and a fighter called "Mad Dog", whom one of the sons (Tommy) defeated and put the fight online making himself partially famous before his first fight. This prompted me and some other extra to refer to him as "YouTube Timmy". XD
