  • i have to do this ad infront of my entire school with 2 more people.

  • I cannot see crusty, tough old Daily Planet editor Perry White wanting to eat "sugar sweet" Sugar Smacks for breakfast in his office.

  • haha pretty funny ;)

  • i like all tv series of superman

  • The FCC violations are still violated by the subtle many involved in commercialism. Tut,tut!!

  • I believe Superman's copyright holders didn't want Superman himself to hawk products on the show. So Reeves did commercials as Clark Kent.

  • why a clown? no Dig'emFrog?

  • @poopplushado, Dig 'Em came years later.

  • and candy sweet to get you addicited to sugar!

  • WOW! an era when people actually watched commercials and listened to the words people said! i would have changed the channel right away. "Hey lets take a min--(CLICK!)"

  • Sugar smack....like junkies they eat!!!

  • I wish they still made like that today.

  • Great Caesar's Ghost!

  • That clown is scary!

  • i bet people would still by that product, if it looked like that, they would just call it retro.

  • oh god.....and just after I've watched Stephan King's IT 0_0....

  • Dear Prausch, You're Right! You can't promote sugarery junk food cereals

with hideious looking clowns on the box these days.

  • I bet he hated doing these commercials.

  • This "integrated" ad appeared at the end of several episodes of "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" during the fall of 1953.

  • How times have changed, commercials with the actors in their roles was a brilliant idea, that seemed to fade with the times. But a cereal such as Sugar Smacks and a scary looking clown? Try hawking that today!

  • @prausch65:

It didn't really fade away. The FCC made it a violation for actors to hawk products as their characters in the early 70s.

  • Sponsors pay the bills, but hawking junk food cereal to youngsters is probably not the most glamourous part of being an actor.

  • These 3 had a great chemistry working together. Hamilton has always been the best ever Perry White.

  • @ACLTony YES HE WAS HE WAS BORN TO PLAY THAT PART

  • Love George Reeves BEST SUPERMAN EVER. God Bless Christopher and George Reeves.
