i'm so happy robyn didn't give up after 96. the formula was perfect for her to become huge and it was just wrong timing, cause the music was awesome. loved her since then but somehow kind of forgot about her even tho i heard that she was still making music.

it's awesome to see her growth and know that hard work pays off and she's getting recognition for her talent. and she's not ugly. she's amazingly beautiful and i'm not just saying that cause of her talent.

A nice song, but she sure looked very uncomfortable on the stage. She needs to develop some stage presence if she is going to sing live very much. She almost seems to need a trance state of mind to be able to sing live. She may do well sticking with very small audiences while she gets accustomed to 'live' performances.

She's done stadium gigs, festivals, small clubs and big TV shows, and she's performed in front of royalties and heads of state.

In other words, she's got plenty of live experience.

If that's true, and I accept your word, then she had a bad day on this performance. She looks out of place, unlike her other 'live' videos. She could not get off stage fast enough. Holding the kerchief to her head at the beginning seems to assist her in getting courage to finally get some rhythym to start singing, or maybe just a headache was to blame. I dunno, but rather an odd way to prime a song. Something was not right.

My guess is that the "awkwardness" you see has got to do with the lyrical content.

It's a melancholy song, after all.

If you check the other videos from the same gig (also posted by "fabulae"), I think it's quite obvious that she was enjoying herself.

No, the 'awkwardness' has nothing to do with the lyrical content, it has to do with the awkward delay prior to any lyrics being sung, and the action of holding her head up. The other videos from the same performance do not display such odd behavior, and she seems quite at ease in them. Melancholy song or nor, peculiar behavior was exhibited. The same musical bar was played over and over and ove and over again, 'til the singing 'eventually' started. Something, whatever it was, was not right.

If you hear live performance on tv or youtube or something, the quality of singing automatically changes. Its not as beautifal as it sounds when you are live at the place. You here it in this song, and with songs madonna performs. But in the end robyn sings a lot better then madonna.

Back in 2004 Robyn felt that her record label didn't give her enough artistically freedom to express herself so she quit her record contract and started her own record label called "Konichiwa Records" with its mantra clearly focused on the music! Now she is her own boss & fully in control to release any kind of musical directions without anybody interfering with her desire to do whatever she wants to! Robyn has promised to make her international comeback overseas soon!
