After 6 years of hard splitting, my yardworks 4ton log splitters cylinder ring broke. I just order some square rubber rings and replace it. It now work better than when i bought it! sow if your log splitter no longer split wood and the motor works, it's only the ring. Easy to replace and lot cheaper than buying a new one! Hopefully this tips will help you.
Very nice.....works well it seems !! I think it would handle anything I would throw at it with ease. I'm cutting trees about the size of the lumber you were splitting. Good vid !!
Requiring two hand away from the work sounds like a very smart design. System designs that keep the human (and their children) out of harms way can only be an advantage.
Are you happy with the power of this device? It sounds quieter than the gas motor design.
@spelunkerd You are correct I agree two hand operation removes any temptation to adjust the log during splitting. After two seasons I am 110% happy with the power of this splitter and the 100% reliability of having an electric motor. Regards John.
@billstmaxx Yes it was a pain being low. I made a platform the height of the tailgate on the truck so the logs roll right on to the splitter. Much more efficient and no sore back.
