I was raised in San Antonio, where people are serious about nachos. This woman knows what she's talking about. You'll never go back to the cheese sauce if you eat them like that. But put the jalapenos on before sticking them in the oven, so they'll be warm and juicy. Instead of adding additional toppings to each nacho, just make a well in the center for the sour cream/salsa/whatever you like. To those saying it'll take a long time; don't be stupid. I can make a big batch in less than 5 minutes.

I used to love the fake melted cheese when I was little, but now it does nothing for me. Anyone used to cheese slop absolutely loves my nachos; I must be doing something right. You get the perfect amount of beans and cheese on every bite. Also, no matter how you choose to make them, it's quick and simple. There's not a lot to it.

Ok... I like Chow. The chef's are funny. The recipe's are good for the most part.

But when it comes to a quick fix, like nachos, I don't think Chow understands that you glop cheese from a can onto chips because it's faster. Nachos generally aren't something you're going to take thirty minutes to prepare.

That's too much work for fucking nachos. Nacho's should not be this hard. Cook some hamburger with taco seasoning. put some cheese in a bowl and microwave it for about 1-1/2 minutes. Add some milk to it and stir. Keep doing this until it's 'saucy'. Put a small layer of chips down then put a small layer of toppings onto those. Then another layer of chips, then another layer of toppings.
