Black History Month - outside the academic community - and probably within, sometimes, becomes the study of hyper-exceptional Black individuals and a few groups... Tuskegee Airmen, for example. The wholeness of the history of Black people, or people of color, in America, gets lost.

im in highs school and they dont teach it to us at all. 4 years ago the students decided to form our own black history program, and that has helped a little
