I haven't been able to find an ICS rom for my samsung Galaxy s 4G for Tmobile! I just have the Octane v2.x rom by Team Acid but I don't like the 5X5 grid:/ any suggestions? Can I Use this rom? Pardon me if it's a noob question I just started rooting

i saw that in v2 ciq was removed. i installed TrevE Logging TestApp V7 and it showed:

/system/bin/iqmsd exists!

/system/lib/libiq_client_so exists!

/system/lib/libiq_services.so exists!

i dont know if this is normal and doesnt necessarily mean ciq is running??? any thoughts qbking?

Tried to reinstall after wipe of partition cache and dalvik.ihave keyboard but swype fails saying "USEnglish FAIL" . I have to use android keyboard with. No swype function available. Any suggestions.I downloaded ics 5.5 via Tom manager after upgrading to cw 5.0.2.7

Lost swype and virtual keyboard altogether after installing. Is this an issue or a bad flash on my part. I did not wipe data before flashing.

Ok..... I was stock gb rooted, did a nandroid before I flashed this rom. If I restore the backup it never gets past the samsung screen..... how do I get back to my previous settings? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance for your help.

@tlagrutta Not all kernels are compatible with the ACS updater so it's hard when people can't use it.

Okay im in SFR 1.2 on 2.2.1. How can i go from that to the ICS rom. I understand how to flash it but can i be on EC05? And is this rom faster and better than SFR? I basically want the fastest possible rom without overclock that is very stable.

@WHYTEBOY Yup, I missed that, big, flashy buttons always distract me. I'm still wondering if the modem is included in v3.5, or will I have to flash the EC05 to EI22 manually? The OP from the forum said he odined back to stock EC05, upgraded the modem and then flashed v1 of the ICS ROM. I'm just checking to see if that still applies to version 3.5. Thoughts?
