  • whos the guy playin the les paul?

  • one of the best love song i ever heard!!

  • Her best song IMO.

  • ....oh ball breakin' moon, and ridiculing stars, the older I get, the closer you are....

they don't write 'em like that anymore.........unless you're Sheryl Crow.

  • Absolutly brilliant.Sheryl's compositions really touch your heart. With Eric backing her they are unmatched.

  • Eric has a great view of Sheryl's behind.

  • good lord...........

  • love this song....one of her best

  • One of my favorite love gone bad songs. I had not heard this version before - love it with Clapton's slide. Sarah Mclachlan harmony would be the icing on the cake.

  • to katy whos love hurt most of all my 17 years of life...

  • She was singing that from her heart to Clapton. He must have really broke her heart when they split up.

Brilliant version, I love this song even more now!

  • @Sumer61 check out the little wing from this concert...

  • The guy playing the gold Les Paul is an excellent backing man.

  • @ahz123 that´s Tim Smith, Sheryl´s guitar player

  • This was a new song for her. She forgot the second line! Eric is bad ass on the slide. This is the best version of this song.

  • Are you referring to the pause before she begins again after the bridge? I think she was overcome with emotion. Anyway, it provides a wonderful hook to the song. It makes you care about it more.

  • I think she is waiting for EC's note to die out - she is right to do so in the context of the song's dynamics.

  • @anthonythirteen The note did die out, seemed like she needed a sec or two before continuing. Song, and especially this versions playing, is BRILLIANT!

  • The note did die out... think she just needed a sec or two to compose herself. Song, especially this version and it's playing, is BRILLIANT

  • wow. she hits the high notes so easily

  • i agree with you 1 million percent there pal!

by far the best version of this that she did

just her singing, and clapton making the hair stand up on the back of your neck and give you goose pimples!

  • Clapton's slide kills in this tune. It's beautiful.

  • I never paid much attention to this song until I saw this version w/ Eric Clapton! He took that song to a different dimentsion. You can see Sheryl tapping her heart at the song's conclusion...she realized it too.

  • She kills it!! One of my favorite songs and to have Clapton playing on it! Love the version with Sarah too!

  • she's just like an angel...

voice of a gorgeous creature fall from the 7th heaven...

    she really touch my heart...

thank you honey... I love you...

  • I was at this show and this song was simply amazing. Incredibly intimate - like Sheryl Crow was singing to me in my living room. I don't think I breathed during the whole song. The rest of the band (including Clapton) knew when to step up and when to hold back.

  • like she didn't know way, way ahead of time

these people don't just drop out of the sky on stage

  • wow.

  • I can't even imagine what it must have been like for her to perform love songs she wrote for & about Eric Clapton...with him...when she knew, at this point, he didn't give a shit about her. True story. She's said it herself.

    That's a brave woman. I couldn't have done it.

  • this song goes out to larry kraft

    larry kroft

    l kraftt

    babe i've changed

  • Awesome, truly awsome.

  • got this dvd i fort this was one of the best songs on it

  • Clapton is still the man

  • Myself and every other guitar player just stand in his shadow. He is the a living legend...

  • Clapton is great however he just built his stuff from others. He took from the Blues greats who created the riffs and built on them, not to say he didn't create his own, but for the blues he stole like every other musician does or has and built on those riffs. He is great, he is fast, but most important is creative, This slide break is a good example. It is pure sweetness.

  • I agree with you to a point. Your right he took his influences and put his taste to it. After all that's what music is ever evolving emotion...

  • Um, I think the person who wrote and sings the song is pretty amazing too......

  • this is amazing shit,,,simple

  • Well, this is one of the best slide by clapton

  • Clapton & Friends nailed this song.

  • When and where was this concert? I'd love to find some better pictures of her hairstyle.

  • Eric Clapton & Friends - Concert For The Crossroads Cente

  • It was at Madison Square Garden in 1999. This was part of the DVD 'Eric Clapton & Friends - Concert for the Crossroads Centre'.

The other friends were Mary J Blige and Bob Dylan.

And if you are wondering this did get released on DVD.
